Yeah... i'm interested to know where can fix side mirror motor as my left side mirror can only flip close... it cant flip open.. hahaha

I really doubt the side mirror motor can be fixed.. Even if it's possible, it wouldn't be practical.. Bro pcmod, which model is your side mirror from? AFAIK, LE and Corona side mirrors are only 3 wire right?

Yup... that's what I'm curious if it can be fixed... hell, we're in bolehland, remember? hehehe
FYI, I'm using AE92 7-wire sidemirror.

I'm having the similar problem on my AE111. The motorbike bang it and the gear inside rosak!
Changing whole unit means have to bring it for respray first.
Mine is on the left side. If yours spoilt on right side, maybe we can buy a pair and split the cost

Maybe u all need to open it up n check, mine inside motor housing clip broke, motor jam cause by water getting in, some wd40 n glue back the housing, walah... back to normal.

Guys, I had this problem before, I bought the whole set and changed just the motor only, can be done. Just be careful removing, the mirror need to pull up, and slide out type, the rest are screws, if done it once than the next time its easy.

Too lazy to take pic, so if got time i'll post it.

sure??? need to take how long time ? cos mine when u on the car key tat motor juz start run.. sounds annoying!! but when i bought this car time they already sound bising la....

switch on key, motor starts to run..
although d side mirror can flip in & out..motor won't stop runnin'...
very2 annoying sound lah....

really interested to know on how to pull & slide out d mirror....

yes it's pretty easy,

I bought 1 pair and changed just the motor coz the one i bought was white and mine is black..

remove black (tweeter) cover from inside, remove screws, unplug socket, slide mirror top (if you push the bottom part all the way to the back you can see how the mirror is locked to the base) and it's pretty straight forward. remove remaining screws and walah!

better use the one u bought 1st to "practise" opening it just in case anything happens..hope this helps :-)

For those people whose "motor won't stop running"..Does it mean that the motor keeps running even though your side mirror is not being flipped in/out, ie not moving?? If that's the case, based on my experience and what my wiring man told me, there are 2 things to suspect:

- Yes, there must be some damage to the motor since it sounds like it's running but the side mirror is not flipping;

- There's some wiring problem, concerning the side mirror relay probably, because the side mirror motor is still receiving signal to keep running even though your side mirror has already flipped to correct position.

This is just my deduction.. Please don't shoot me if I'm wrong..

Rage, the reason motor wont stop running is due to incorrect wiring. My sidemirror previously used to flip 180°, instead of 90°... LOL!
If side mirror got sound, but no movement, most likely some of the gears were damaged.
Also, must take into note that 7-wired side mirror is equipped with heaters (demist) and must get the proper relay to make it work.
Any idea where to find side mirror wiring specialist?

Yes its really easy, but becareful with the mirror cos fragile. once u open it up, i think u can identify the problem easily, just try open close it after removing the mirror.
