So far i know common mod is air filter, extractor, piping and muffler but then how about CAI? How a Cold Air Intake it looks like? And before this i view quite alot topics here about HEAT SHIELD. Do heat shield is something like CAI?

And about the price for the mods can masters here give me the best market price of each item like:

Apexi open pod air filter = RM
Powerzone 4-2-1 extractor = RM
1.75" piping with suitable muffler = RM
CAI / HAT SHIELD = RM

CAI is a kind of Intake. so is an air ram.

the heat sheild is a part of CAI.its blocks the heat away frm the open pod filter so it only sucks in cool air..

to Fluffy,

oh that's meant if use Drop in filter we need ram as CAI
if use open pod filter we need heat shield as CAI?

this is how i direct my CAI hose when i'm using stock air filter...
the end of the CAI hose can either stuck it in the hole behind the headlamp or pull the hose down abit more to suck air from the side bumper....

bro, before u start to mod... make ur self a plan... What type of outcome u r searching for.. performance, ice, or looks... Once u got already.. Then start ur plan, if not... ur will waste a lot of money and yet going nowhere....

u can try posting at the saga/iswara thread....

just my 2 cents.... proud owner of iswara here as well.. hehe

i believe there are lots of mod for iswara... i drive 2003 iswara 1.5 sedan MT also... had do some mod on my car too...
1. Open pod air filter with air ram and CAI
2. Hotbits 4-2-1 extractor
3. Center bullet replace CAT Converter
4. 10mm plug cable
5. DIY Grounding, microcompressor
6. Pivot Raizin VS (soon)
i try to keep my mod as less as possible coz i feel that these mod cannot give you lots of HP... the only mod tat can increase more HP is supercharge or turbocharge the car... or change a bigger displacement engine...
i believe my next step is to go for other powerful car...
happy modding!!!

Go for street/high cam 262/272 with PnP head and performance carb(weber, mikuni solex etc), tune length 421 extractor enuff, maintain ur stock pipe dia. change to straight flow muffler max of 2'' end tip want more ? add 1.6 stroker kit & engines blue print.

CAI, Heatshield with performance filter help a bit, mine dont use any, just use carb. cleaner when required. I tried all of them...........
I agreed with one ZTH members with powerzone stuffs that carbs needs hot air

go dyno before & after these mods.

4g15/13 gots potential, dont believe me ? go to saga iswara thread, got all sifu there

cheers

that hose has similar effect like those normal extended stock airbox come as factory.... mine dont have, so jz add a hose there lo... that picture was before i pull the hose down to the side bumper... pickup increase a little... but at high speed, i feel got some air restriction larr... jz pull the hose down to the mudguard should be much better.... (tip: if u are travelling on highway and wanna save petrol, take off the stock RAM... da air has less restriction entering the carb... thus, lower cruising rpm at high speed....)

centre bullet replace the CAT means removing the CAT and replace it with a midbullet... a CAT is something to absorb noise and dangerous fumes in the exhaust gas... it does create some restriction in the exhaust piping.... by removing it and replace it with midbullet/centre bullet, exhaust gas can flow through faster and better...

DIY grounding means 'do-it-yourself' grounding.... try find in DIY thread about grounding the car....

Pivot Raisin is a brand/jenama.... VS is voltage stabilizer... it is used to stabilize the voltage running in ur car...

1.6L stroker kit... vr hard to explain... ask other sifu sifu or contact powerzone urself... hehe...

engine blueprints,
powerzone said:
A blue-printed engine, on the other hand, is rebuilt by specialists who are well-trained in their field of work. The main difference here is the quality of workmanship and using parts that strictly follow original manufacturer's

specifications. All critical dimensions, clearances, tolerances, tightening torques, settings, assembly procedures, etc. are on specifications. In this way, the completed engine is given the best conditions to perform at its maximum possible output and reliability.

And how does a blue-printed engine compare with a brand new car's engine? The new engine built at the manufacturer's plant is in a way blue-printed since it is produced according to the manufacturer's specifications. However, there is a basic difference in the processes of assembling the engine and the choice of parts used. A factory built engine is put together from off-the-shelf parts that satisfy certain specifications within a range of tolerances.

This simply means that the dimensions and finish of the same parts may not be exactly the same but are within acceptable limits. When the whole engine is put together the running clearances and fit quality may turn out to be excellent or may be at the lowest acceptable level due to a mass production condition known as tolerance stack up.

If the parts used in building the engine happen to be all of the best dimensions and finish, then the engine will be in top form. On the other hand, if most parts are of the least acceptable dimensions, then the engine will be less than ideal. This accounts for the fact that no two cars of the same model from the same factory perform exactly the same. One will be better than the other. You may have also noticed that the maximum power output stated in your car handbook is never achievable. Now you know why!
