Edaran Tan Chong Sdn Bhd has finally chosen their brand ambassadors and have presented them to the members of the media today at the 1 Utama Shopping Centre. They are none-other than Daniel Yap, Jason Goh, Yoong Huey Yee and Rizman Harith Merican.

The awesome-foursome are the pioneers in Malaysia to spear-head the first pilot-program that involves using the Nissan Leaf over a period of six weeks in their daily lives and will be sharing their experiences with both friends and the public through video clips and write-ups from using the all-electric Nissan Leaf in local conditions.
And so, the ‘Journey to Zero Emission’ began with Dato’ Dr. Ang Bon Beng flagging off the first four at the 1 Utama Shopping Centre, where he later mentions how difficult it was when faced with choosing the ambassadors due not only to the overwhelming response, but also because of the high-quality submissions from the general public.
However, it not all she wrote just yet, with Dato’ Ang indicating that the pilot-programme won’t be coming to a close, with this just being only the first phase of it all. He also indicated that even the previous applicants for the pilot programme still stood a chance of becoming one of the ambassadors some time in the near future and would like as many Malaysians as possible to experience what the Nissan Leaf has to offer in order to help create a better understanding of electric vehicles (EVs).
And with the Nissan Leaf departing the 1 Utama Shopping Centre today, it will now re-appear next at Queensbay Mall, Penang from 26<sup>th</sup> to 29<sup>th</sup> July 2012.
Below is the schedule and venue for where the Nissan Leaf will be making an appearance:
3<sup>rd</sup> – 5<sup>th</sup> August 2012 – Mahkota Parade, Malacca
10<sup>th</sup> – 12<sup>th</sup> August 2012 – Sunway Pyramid, PJ, Selangor
12<sup>th</sup> -16<sup>th</sup> September 2012 – 1 Utama Shopping Centre, PJ, Selangor
5<sup>th</sup> – 7<sup>th</sup> October 2012 – Alor Setar Mall, Alor Setar, Kedah
7<sup>th</sup> – 11<sup>th</sup> November 2012 – 1 Utama Shopping Centre, PJ, Selangor
23<sup>rd</sup> – 25<sup>th</sup> November 2012 – East Coast Mall, Kuantan, Pahang
26<sup>th</sup> December 2012 – 1<sup>st</sup> January 2013 – 1 Utama Shopping Centre, PJ, Selangor
At present, ETCM still remains mum about when sales will begin for the Leaf here in Malaysia, having placed great emphasis on helping the Malaysian public learn more about EVs and wanting to ensure that our infrastructure is readily able to help support the usage of such vehicles before allowing the Leaf to be sold.
