Chance on this car with this tyre. What can I say is life is worth much more than this.....:banghead:

Agree, some not willing to spend money on good tyres and want cheap tyres yet cheap ones that is not safe to use.

Cheap tyres better then bald tyres and much much better than a cracked tyre with the internal plies all showing already.
This tyre already gone through the first 2 plies already as can see the steel belts already. 2 more plies and that is it.....:stupid:

This one another bad example.....:banghead:

my tires used to be like that on my perdana, but the inner side, didn't realize it till I had a flat tyre as the outer side still had thread.

Was on a Satria. Cause? well, tyres worn and since in the front, the cornering wore the shoulders more then the pattern area....

I see. Thanks for the explanation. That doesn't look like stock tyre size on Satria. Low profile tyres? Stock was like 175/65 or something like that isn't it?

What brands of tires? And whats the treadwear rating?

Second picture shows bridgestone (?) with treadweaer rating of 220? :O

P.S: Thats why uncle VR2Turbo have to open tire shop. We ZTH forum members will gladly promote your tire shop business hehehe

Mine currently using 185/60. If I increase the size, will it be bad?

Rub-damaged by road kerb.

Looks pretty bad. Can you see the nylon plies? If yes, better change it.

You are on OE 14" so 185/60R14 is best. Used to have 195/55R14 size but very rare nowadays.
If you want to upgrade further then need rim change too. To 15" then 195/50R15, or 205/50R15 in extreme case...:driver:

What's OE? Original rims? I'm not using stock rims. I'm using some Enkei rim but I had no idea what name is that or perhaps it is some replica rim. I'll attach a pic here.

Oh! OE is Original Equipment and Wira is either 13" or 14". The 1.3 and 1.5 came with 13" and 1.6 came with 14", so I put both as OE size.

Enkei is famous Japanese Rims, but they have a local factory in Malaysia. Yours could be local Enkei...:driver:

Enkei got many factories in different countries: here, Indonesia, Philippine, Taiwan for examples.

Anyway back to the topic, I once driven my first car until the tires bald and could even notice some plies starting to appear even though still got some thin rubber layer. It was already a very dangerous experience when on wet roads, I felt like I was driving on the edge all the time! But it was no where near the picture VR2 posted, so who ever that person is, he/she's either crazy or completely stupid and careless, and very lucky to still survive!
