Sometimes the beauty of a supercar, especially an Italian one, gains its dashing looks from the raw details of the machine as it does from the final finished product itself. Lamborghini seems to understand that better than anybody else now as they have teased us with detailed shots of the successor to their Murcielago, dubbed the Aventador LP700-4.

As much as it chokes at our excitement to not get the full final product, nobody can deny the intricate beauty of the parts that make up the Aventador. The boys from Sant’Agata have unveiled what could be the final piece of the puzzle before the full reveal at the Geneva Motor Show next week.

After tantalising us with shots of the new V12 engine, ISR transmission, horizontally-mounted suspension and full carbon fiber monocoque frame, they have for us a picture of the full rolling chassis sans bodypanels. It features almost everything that will be under the sheet metal save for the interior. The aluminium frames for the engine and front are in place as are the full suspension components.

You may want to have a tissue handy before you begin the drooling process.

From the look of it, would it still inherit the legendary lambo door?
