The all-new BMW 5 Series, codenamed the F10, might be all the rage now but the previous generation E60 has definitely left a sizeable impression for it to try and fill.

German tuner G-Power has given the E60 M5 one last swipe in the ring by claiming the World’s Fastest Sedan record with their G-Power Hurricane RR that took the honours by hitting the 372km/h mark. Speedo readouts like that would keep it level with a McLaren F1 on the Autobahn.

The previous record was also held by the tuner, having achieved it with their G-Power Hurricane RS that managed a 367.4km/h run.

While the RS model pushed out 750hp from its twin-supercharged V10 lump, the RR model got a slight bump up in power to reach 800hp. Torque is an earth-twisting 800Nm. All those figures leads to more impressive figures. The century sprint is dealt with in 4.35-seconds while the 200km/h mark is breached in 9.5-seconds. Keep flooring it and the 300km/h mark will arrive in 25.8-seconds all the way to its record-setting speed.

The extra power is courtesy of larger superchargers that allow for 25 per cent more space for air volume. Furthermore, the 20-inch rollers used in the last run were ditched for 19-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Tyres.

While the tuning company’s development on the E60 has definitely hit a high, we shall wait and see what they have in store for the F10. However, lest we forget, this record might not be theirs to hold for long with the Bugatti Galibier being green-lighted for production.

Last night while i was driving in Shah Alam, there is an illegal race of some sort.

There is matte black cefiro (with BOT coz can see intercooler) and a white Nissan 350Z.

But how come the 350Z lost? If cefiro is stock rb25det can challenge a stock 350z without modification?
