:itsme:Hello folks

Summer greetings from Mauritius and best wishes to you all

The owner of this BMW came to see me several times but I couldn't work on his car due to my job and time constraints, and given I had to travel to China for a training in education, the school holidays were cut short. This is the last detail I did in 2013 and will be reserving the first week to work on my own car before school starts. actually, i completed this ride at 6 pm on the 31st.

The work on this car totals 23 long hours over 2 days and even now I can feel the pain.

the wheel, this is the spare wheel and the other wheels needed thorough cleaning as well.

The car was washed using the 2bm method using a mix of local car shampoo and APC to remove all dirt and grime, then clayed
this is the clay before

It no longer remained white, that's for sure, my camera's battery went down.
The ride had all the defects you could imagine, loads of deep swirls, orange peel, many RIDS and looked blurred.

Some of the tools used

Usual players: Optimum HC, Menz 203s & 85rd, Megs M80, Collinite 476s

Starting with the black roof

water spots

Other defects

Under the fluorescent light

the color is in fact light-black with the so many defect and haziness

Correction underway

In the sun, no swirls but will refine it further to have more depth and gloss

No defects

the boot lid

Lack of depth, no definition

Now

Moving to the vertical area

emblems taped

Polish and orange peel caked

Tail light area, left side

Tail light area, right side

How to deal with someone staring at you for a whole day, with a blunt face?:hmmmm:

the rear spoiler

Reflections or Illusions?

Reflective illusions?

or Illusive reflections?

The driver's side

Looks like stiches on paintwork

Runs and drips, paint levelled and spot correction

Staring continues

Finishing

it was already late in the evening

The hood and front section

Uneven paint, see around the light. it's a blurred hood, only the water giving it some depth.

water spots too

Levelling the paint to restore some depth and gloss

even with the rotary swirls and holograms, it looks better

Refining

A few RIDS to be taken care of

And I'm feeling blessed by Almighty, the sun shining on the hood freely.... "no swirls attached".

The left side of the hood

The bumper

Transformed

Shine with a smile the BeyondShine way

The passenger's side

Blurred paint

Now

More defects

Now

More staring... this is a "blurred" one by the uncle (owner)

looking properly, you can notice the extent of hills and valleys on the paint (after compounded)

Now

Hello

The rear wing

Another view

My car will need to get a thorough in and out makeover

The plastic trims restored with CG NLTG

The side mirrors

the owner checking a few things prior to leaving, I spent 20+ hours with him
