better make sure it is very well bolted on to your trunk if u're gonna attempt this.

u don't want to get yourself into trouble when your DIY gt-wing fly off your trunk at high speed and end up slicing off another motorists head do ya? =X

This somehow sounds like those spinner wheel caps we have mentioned earlier.

Its better to be safe then sorry. Not too sure 2-3mm is good enough but most importantly the angle of downforce/aerodynamic should be right, otherwise the drag will also cause the wing to flex and fly hehehe

aiyo... DIY GT wings are not as serious as spinner caps ah....

i know where to get materials for GT wings... but i not planning to do it lar... for metal/alluminium plates u can goto engineering firms to get.. u can ask them to bend it for u as well.. then de side plates can custom cut also...

for de legs... can ask them to custom make also... so i guess u just draft out wat u want... then later u DIY assemble lar..

u just need to do some drilling on ur car n put in some bolts n nuts n tighten it... n mayb some painting.. there u go... ur custom made GT wing...

cheers!! :)

any sharp metal objects that are not dealt with correct supervision of engineers are not advise to do so especially spinner caps and GT wing... too harmful and dangerous la...

That is why when people pay lotsa $$ for a GT wing, basically also paying for the R&D charges as well. just my 2sen la

yep.. true also..

but to me... if i wanto do something... i make sure i do it nicely... n practical as well.. at least it will not put my life or ppl's life in danger...

for a GT wing.. all de mountings need to be done nicely... especially the joints and the leg mountings... all need to be secured tight n firm... use the correct n suitable tools and equipments and accessories...

but i still think DIYing a GT wing is stil not realy dat hard... provided u can get those materials....
