cannot rev higher

i have problem..
dulu gear 5 can rev to 7k RPM..haha..
but few days ago..max rev only get to 4.5K RPM..
anybody can help?

sory..forgot to mention the detail before..
my car proton wira 1.5GL carb..
engine 4G15..

gear 1-3 can rev normally to 7k..
gear 4 harder but still can rev to 7k..
gear 5 stop at 4.5k..

not the rev cut i think bcoz i always drive 5-7k on gear 5..

are u sure previously u can achieve 7k rpm at 5th gear? if so, the speed must be around 220kmh which is very high for wira 1.5.

U sure last time 5th gear u can rev to 7k? Wira, carb. With all respect, it's not that powerful.

I would think that last time when you rev to 7k on 5th gear, there may be a slight downhill gradient.

Btw, 7k rpm on 5th gear is insanely fast already. :afraid:

hahaha..yup..its not that powerfull..but im sure..engine sound like wanna blow..hahaha
its not downhill...i can rev to 7k at 5th gear on normal road..
but not easy..i dont know my top speed coz my speed meter not working..

any suggestion?..are this problem may because of my timing or carb setting?

maybe your clutch was working better now, cause there's no clutch slip (^.^)~ just joking. mostly that's due to power lose in engine over time, engine lubrication conditions, week spark-plug, cloaked carburetor or even engine running too lean/rich will cause power lost~ should send your car to a proper service centre to get a through check-ups~
