Greetings from the BFGoodrich Asian Motorsports Festival 2004!

From December 10th to 12th 2004, the Sepang F1 Circuit will be host to the Largest Automotive Lifestyle Event ever organized in Malaysia, called the BFGoodrich Asian Motorsports Festival. This automotive event will be unlike any other that has ever been held in the country, and GroupAMF are the proud organizers of this historic event, the first of many more to come.

This event will encompass various FIA sanctioned grassroots motorsports activities such as Autocross and Autokhana, and not to mention Drag Racing as well. In addition to the exciting racing that will be taking place that weekend, other activities such as a showcase of the most beautifully modified cars, the most amazing Exotic cars from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Pagani and Porsche, Car Accessories, and the best Japanese Domestic Market cars such as Subaru, Supra, EVO, Skyline, etc. will all be present. The difference is, in addition to being parked for all to appreciate, these cars will also be running on the Sepang track.

Equally noteworthy is the fact that the BFGoodrich Asian Motorsports Festival offers a unique ‘one-stop’ shopping opportunity for all who attend. The festival showcases a myriad of exciting elements such as Car Mart, where various car companies will be at hand to proudly display their latest models for test drive and purchase. The ICE or in-car entertainment section will showoff some of the very latest and most impressive sound systems from renown makes such as Sony, Pioneer, AudioVox, Blaupunkt and more, again for all to marvel at and purchase. Car accessories, Tuning Kits, Tinting and Car Modification components are just a few more attractions that will be at the festival. The main difference being that buyers get to fit some of the items they purchase right then and there. Drive in standard, drive home modded!

Other attractions include stage activities with live DJs who will be entertaining the crowd with their antics as well as doing on-the-spot contests and games for everyone to participate in. In addition, AMFs bevy of beauties known as the AMF Queens will be at hand to meet and greet the crowd, while handing out goodies to the participants and spectators. For the first time, the slightly smaller race cars will take to their own track, where spectators will get to witness the 1/10 scale Radio Control Car Championship. Zipping around at nearly 60 miles-per-hour, these cars are incredibly fast for their size and the very best RC Car enthusiasts will be there to thrill the audience with their RC skills.

UPDATE: In a latest development, Deputy Minister of Transport, the honorable YBM Tengku Azlan Ibni Sultan Abu Bakar has graciously agreed to be the Guest-of-Honor at the BFGoodrich Asian Motorsports Festival, and has agreed to host a Press Conference with the media at the event.

The BFGoodrich Asian Motorsports Festival is indeed a celebration of all things automotive but with a big difference; it is a weekend of carnival-like entertainment for the whole family. Come spend the weekend with us! For more information on the event, visit www.asianmotorsportsfestival.com or call AMF at 03-20314066.
