A Question from an MR2 Newbie

Hi guys, i'm a new taker of a lovely SW20 that comes with a 3S-GE Auto. Been monitoring the fuel consumption lately. Kinda strange to obtain
16MPG or 17Lit/100km:stupid: . Do you guys think this is normal for an average driving attitude. I'm not too sure:hmmmm: Any comments from other 3S-GE Auto owners out there? Wish to be part of u guys too but afraid to interrupt.

Hello.. don't mind me interrupting but for most of us from the Altezza Club..
(3S-GE of course :_:). We can get at least 400-450km out of one full tank with city/town driving. 500-550km a tank full for highway journeys.. haha.

Thanks so much for your comments guys. I don't think my 3S-GE can come near to that value. 400-450km for 3S-GTE is way better than what i expected. Even the 3S-GE (Beams) of the Altezza seems to perform really well. No doubt its a newer developed engine & management. I guess i gotta bring it to a specialist to check it out. Any 3S specialist out there to recommend:hmmmm:

bushido... ALL MR2s (SW 20) come with 3S-GTE or 3S-GE engines ?!?!?!

IF you are referring to MR2 (ZZW 30) then the answer is YES as well.. there has been at least one nutter who has swapped in his ZZ engine for the latter 3S

heheh.. thanks midship. i always forgot that all MR2s are either 3S-GE or 3S-GTE equipped.. =P

anyone know about a white MR2 at Trial ah..? Seen it lying there for quite some time.
