4G91 has 115hp on engine... 4G15 has around 80 on engine... u do the math. =Þ

I think the stock pipings are enuff lar if u aren't planning to mod till to extreeme... else go for 1.8 inch internal diameter... should suit 4G91 perfectly. 2" could be too big... will make the car a bit sluggish.

4G91 is not the twin cam version of 4G15

its in the 4G9x series of engines utilizing a different block design...similar to the 4G92 and 4G93

speaking of which, there IS one model of 4G15 which is DOHC

cheers

ive been using this engine for few years now.. last time when my bro transplant the engine, it was 2k++ including assembly for an auto ones.. my comment is that it is a good and reliable engine.. forget the clicking sound during morning start and ull be more than happy using it.. :P power for the engine is good, even though not as big as 4g93 but sufficient enough.. fuel consumption is ok.. 450 - 550 for 50 bucks of petrol, depending on ur setting..

ohh, my piping setup is 2" front to back and 4-2-1 extractor.. lastime using it with standard muffler, mid to high range power is realy good.. now changed my muffler already to S-flow ones.. power not so good la.. but its leaner and the exhaust note is realy a music to my ear.. :D

modding got 100 and 1 ways to do... too many to mention here... Work with your budget and your expectations out of your mods.

extractor is a good start... i still think 2" is too big for a 4G91... use 1.8 inch internal diameter... you'll have better response than a 2". Fuel regulator is also a good choice... tweaks up the response a lot more.

Spark plugs... err... doesn't really effect much. Spark plug cable... no comments, coz' never tried. I'm still using my oem spark plug cables...

Here's a lil' something you can try... get 4G93 n/a cams... their of slightly higher profile that OEM 4G91's... somewhere between 0.5-0.9mm higher lift for intake and 0.2-0.9mm lift for exhaust, depending on version (yes, there are different versions... the only way to differenciate them is to measure)...

Piggy back computers aren't really that necessary unless u've done quite a lot on your engine... else u'll probably only get a hp or two from the thousands spent on electronics.

We reported recently that Tony Fernandes has acquired British sportscar manufacturer Caterham. The Team Lotus principal did so by buying out Caterham’s previous owners, Corven Ventures, and was listed as a director of Caterham on 12 April. To celebrate the acquisition, Caterham will be launching a special run of just 50 examples of Team Lotus Sevens, 25 units for the UK and the other 25 for...
