2JZ-GE.... Worth it?

How do you do? It's KungFuMan from Cheras.

Currently own ZZT231, 2ZZ-GE.

I'm looking forward to buy this baby.

Supra 3.0 96/98
RM78K (Nice!)
Mileage 90121km (Sweet!)

The problem is:

It's N/A 2JZ-GE Auto tranny.

Should I go for it and later convert it to manual and upgrade to twin turbo

Or should I just go straight to 2JZ-GTE Twin Turbo which cost around RM100K-RM130K. I bet the previous owner sure drift or drag this car kaw-kaw.

Help me make decision please.

Anyway is targa top available in Malaysia.

Basically, just wanna upgrade from 1.8L to 3.0L.
In other words, it's my personal interest.
I want more horsie!!!
Dunno I should just supercharge my 2ZZ or get a Supra or ER34 GTT.

But it's the Supra I mention is a good deal or not?

You think it would be cheaper if I just get 2JZGE and later convert to 2JZGTE?

All I need is to find the right turbos, right?

kungfuman: supra 1/2 cut ranges from 12k to 20k depending on 'parts within'

zenden: where? anywhere... u jes need 3 things, time, patience..and money..

buying supra mean paying cash term
and when you looking for this kind of car,
you will have negotation power if you paying it with cash

you wont surprised if the owner willing to let it go further below if you have the negotiation skill and solid cash backup
since most of owner when they really want to change car, some loses is small issue to them.

I guess I will go with 2JZGE Auto supra. Stock condition.

The price seems reasonable and the mileage is quite low.

Later converte it to manual and add turbos in it.

What do you guys think?

check the total cost conversion as well the hidden cost
it might cost you more $$ than a Manual Turbo at the end of the day
