i'll post a pic later when i'm able to get a good daytime shot,...

this is a few years after i got the hood spray painted with clear lacquer, that also because the tone was already not uniform when i got the hood.

all was nice, for a short time.

lacquer starts peeling off by itself after a few months, the composite material of lacquer and hood epoxy just don't match, eh,...

a few areas (center and sides), the lacquer sticks and it was very difficult to get it off,... sanding and scraping finally got it off,...
the reason why the clear lacquer didnt stick well because the bodypaint shop didnt prep the surface well before applying another coat of clear lacquer.

from what master KC have thought me:-

"the paint that peel off from the wall cause they didnt peel the old paint before applying a new coat"

when dealing with the hot sun, the clear will eventually get cracked and slowly peel off. what i have to say this is a really poor job. agree/disagree please leave a comment or like my this useful post.

A car’s windshield might give out the impression that it could withstand the impact from little pebbles or roadside debris, which is pretty much true. But things are a bit different when you add up some speed and size to that flying object, where it could either result in cracking your windshield, or simply smashing it into a...
