Underground Racing is a name that’s synonymous with supercars that have been overdosed on forced induction to push them beyond the borders of hypercars. The thing that sets Underground Racing apart from other tuners is the meticulous attention to detail, the beauty of the finished product and of course, the quality of work that goes into their cars.

Such was the beauty of their finished product that their last demo car, the Underground Racing Lamborghini Gallardo, was as much a work of art as it was a straight stormer. Unfortunately, that twin-turbo Gallardo’s run came to an unfortunate end when it flipped at the Texas Mile while attempting a high speed run.

Now, the tuners have added a new edition to their roster, the Ferrari 458 Italia. They’ve just released some teaser images of their tuning program for the 458 Italia sans specific figures but from the looks of it, it’ll be every bit as tantalising as Gallardo.

The folks at Underground Racing expressed that they felt the car was ‘missing something’ from the factory, hence the twin-turbo setup for a boost under the engine cover.

The Stage 1 kit sees twin-turbos attached to the standard engine while the Stage 2 kit consists of a ‘built engine’ with stronger internals to withstand more boost from the twin-turbo setup. So far there are no performance figures for the kit but expect it to make the stock 458 Italia’s 562hp and 540Nm of torque look like an asthmatic running at high altitude.

There's a reason Underground Racing has been making a name for themselves unlike other supercar tuning companies. That's cuz they what they do is art whereas others merely tune for the sake of making power.

This is my boss's car. The paint was in terrible condition upon delivery. Defects were all over and deep. Pictures shall talk.

Full of swirls and watermark etching. Generous amount of random deep scratches too.
