UMW Toyota has just begun operations of its new Body and Paint centre at Bukit Raja, Klang. Utilising a 5.7 acre facility in order to comply with the standards set by Toyota Motor Corporation Japan, the site now boasts the use of 42 work bays and 4 paint booths and has a repair capacity of 6,150 units per annum.

<!--more-->The current Body and Paint repair operations located at Sungai Rasah will now be relocated to the new Bukit Raja facility at the benefit of Toyota’s customers.

However, the Sungai Rasah Service Centre will not be entirely shut down. Instead, customers are still able to check-in for Body and Paint repairs.

UMW Toyota Motor’s President, En. Ismet Suki said, “We strongly believe in Customer First philosophy and always give our customers the topmost priority. We are committed to deliver high quality products and provide excellent services to our customers.”

Currently, UMW Toyota is into the second year of their 3-year plan to invest RM1 billion by 2013. To date, they’ve already spent RM200 million to develop their Integrated Quality Hub (IQH), which happens to include the development of the Body and Paint Centre, which consists of a Centralized Vehicle Stockyard, Accessory Centre, Test Track, Body and Paint centre and Production Parts Warehouse.
