CRZ very slow ... must have HKZ SC installed. Hehehehehe ... need to have a Super Hybrid Class ...

re: TIMETOATTACK 2012 Round 1 Results! (SS & S NA-FF, SS & S NA-FR, HYBRIDS)

Saying the CR-Z slow makes the Toyota Altezza RS200 look very very bad..

to be fair ....due to transponder issue dry timing was not recorded....the timing u see is in the wet...
Both altezza setup are identical ....... engine 100% stock

and were the CRZ clocked on the same conditions?

if both altezza setup is identical then driver comes into play. i shall not comment because I can't drive any better. :smokin: i can goyang boat though.

on a personal level I do not think Altezza was not designed with track in mind, considering its weight and configuration (luxury) by Toyota.

re: TIMETOATTACK 2012 Round 1 Results! (SS & S NA-FF, SS & S NA-FR, HYBRIDS)

Don't forget those CRZs are wearing street tires, green engine. I think CRZ did very well, thumb up. Like Ixeo said, if CRZs was claimed slow, that makes Turbo S13 look bad too.

re: TIMETOATTACK 2012 Round 1 Results! (SS & S NA-FF, SS & S NA-FR, HYBRIDS)

again fastest crz on dry was 2:57 while altezza is 2:48 also on road tyre.... with a 12 year old engine ..now whether made for track or not is subjective....yes it is heavy like a BMW 3 series however with NA 2.0 engine (body weight 1350kg) doing 2:48 with tweak to suspension is pretty decent.... with add on turbo it will do wonders... dont compare CRZ with altezza as they are totally different car.... CRZ did very well clocking below 3 seconds for green car...and i am sure it will do even better with supercharger or turbo

FYI...The orange altezza did 2:49 in megalap last month...

Super Street NA-FR has a mid engined Cayman in 3rd place.

I thought in the regs NA-FR meant – Naturally Aspirated Front Engined, Rear Wheel Drive ?

There is no GT-Car Class this year. We made a collective decision to assign the Cayman and MK1 Elise in the NA-FR class, albeit in Super Street rather than Street.

What is the difference between super street and street car?

In Street:
- Road Tyres Only 140 Threadwear Above
- No Cages

In Super Street:
- Semi Slicks
- Bolted On Cages

Race / TIME ATTACK MACHINES
- Semi Slicks
- Welded Cages
- Full Stripping Allowed

re: TIMETOATTACK 2012 Round 1 Results! (SS & S NA-FF, SS & S NA-FR, HYBRIDS)

Amazing times from those FD2Rs, almost as fast as the turbo class & beating the FR class, especially the 1st place SS FD2R to clock in 2:28 way ahead of the 2nd place FD2R! Also the Street FF were all very close!
The CR-Zs also none to shabby.
Great to see older cars like the Altezza & AE86 to still stand out.

There was one FD2R driven by a fat guy, his car sounds amazing! Love the sound when it idles.

Where were the RS250s btw? I thought they should be up there too with the FD2Rs.

The Megane RS250 are in the Euro Class this year

In the looks department, the CRZs won hands down!

Thanks Tom,

I did wonder where mid engine RWD cars like MR2/MR-S would be classified.

Maybe you should change the NA-FR Class name to NA-RWD :listen:
