Tab-based Browsing

Hi Admin/Mods,

i find the tab-based browsing very convenient and easy to use. is this just for testing or will it be permanent? i hope it will be permanent as this is a very good feature. :wavey:

well i prefer the old format. rather than have to click on the desired forum (which required loading time - my internet is slow heh heh) i enjoyed scroll up and down.

hopefully ZTH will revert to the old format

thanks for the feedback. Will see how this format goes 1st as Tom just newly set it up. This tab system is to make the forum more tidy easy to use as users can see the whole of the forum on top and no need to scroll up and down to find it.

many forumers said their fingers really tired scrolling up & down,they need some rest & save some energy for the OT at home

good to know you like it, it serves its purpose very well and performs rather smoothly too. I had it running before if you remember but was removed due to bug issues. It's now set up very well, so it's now a keeper.

It also works well on mobile devices, though a proper mobile based of the site is underway.

Subcon,
prior to the tabs, the forums page was getting way too long for too long. And having that many forum channels, some users may unknowingly skip certain channels caused by the clutter.

It's a matter of getting used to it, but do let me know if you still find it problematic for you. I ll try to find a way to allow users to choose between tabs and no tabs

I have a habit of using multiple windows whenever i surf the net. i also open multiple windows in ZTH as there are a few sections which i frequently check. With this new tab-based browsing, i dont have to open so many windows anymore and it saves bandwidth for me as i can switch sections very quickly. i also don't have to keep refreshing the multiple windows anymore. it might be 'different' for you at first but i hope this works for you too. :wavey:

you may use that if you'd like to retain the old style of forums browsing
