Motorsport Asia’s CEO, David Sonenscher, was today appointed to the Malaysian Motorsports Council (MMC). The announcement was made during the media launch of the collaboration between Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM) and Automobile Association of Malaysia (AAM) which was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Yang Berhormat Dato’ Seri Azalina Dato’ Othman Said.
The council, which will be established no later than 31st January 2008, aims to ensure appropriate motor sport governance in Malaysia. The group are also tasked to encourage grass roots motorsport development at national level and to oversee matters on affiliates and clubs.
The council will be headed by Y.M. Tunku Datuk Mudzaffar Tunku Mustapha as its Chairman and Datuk Azman Yahya as its Vice-Chairman and will comprise of a total of 11 members.
