why do some prefer single turbo and some prefer twin turbo ?
what's the difference between both of them ? pros and cons ?

What kind of car or engine ? How much HP you are looking ? How much to spent ?
Needs a little more details on vehicle.

Thanks.

Smaller single turbo / smaller twin turbo setup eliminates the turbo lag but it limits the modification level in term of 'milking' the highest power the engine could churn out.
Bigger turbo tend to have the turbo lag effect when the gearing is not play at optimum operation range.

At the end of the day, the engine type, amount of $$$ at your disposal and target horsepower are the main criteria.

lets put a Skyline R34 as the car .. HP maybe around 350-450 .. anything regarding modding the car we should have $$ HAHA !! which is expensive ? :itsme:

To me is usually engine design. If straight 4 then one big turbo. If V6 then 2 smaller turbo one on each bank....:driver:

single turbo better, not too big & not too small...
too big will have slower response.
