if router kena lighting , can fix back ??

the router still in warranty?
if yes, send back to the shop where you bought it.. tell them the router
is malfanctioned. But DON'T EVER tell them that the modem had been strucked
by lightning.. :D. By doing so, they will send the router back to the factory
for repairing but it will takes more than a month.

yup..same with me..

dunno what happened to my ADSL modem(bought it NEW)..no connection with my PC...being struggle for couple of days trying to fix it..maybe had been kene lighting,so i went to that shop again saying got problem...then,they just give me a new modem..hahahah...went back home,plug it in..and the problem solve... :)

p/s=agree with dremel,NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER say ur router had been strucked by lighting...

If rosak, can build a new one... DIY!

Find an old PC (Intel Pentium or AMD K6 machines), install 2 network cards from either Intel (Pro 10/100) or 3Com (905 series) and download Coyote Linux (it runs on a floppy disk).

There is a gui for Windows which allow you to customised the installation before writing the image on a floppy disk.

Works like a charm! Uptime for me (last time) was 98 days. The cost? RM 100 for 2 network cards and FOC for the old machine (pick it up from someone's trash).
