Fantastic work Josh!! make us all drool already haha.
hahaha Thanks bro, well about drooling, let me tell u, my jobs are averaged out at 6-10hours depending on condition, 2-3hours of that 10hours is admiring the car and admiring the level of gloss and shine. hahahaha
the CF part really interest me..as mine look exactly like the before picture
yup carbon fiber is actually not really clear coat that we find on cars but it is actually crystallization. As far as my facts is, carbon fibers are formed with jelly liked substance to give it that firmness and glossiness and after it hardens it looks like clear coat. Polishing carbon fibers is very delicate and very high level of concentration is needed if not....you might just burn it! plus, its an R8 we are talking about...I personally was at the border line of panic
the scratches u wetsanding wit sandpaper 2000 1st then only polish rite?
coz mine got the same scratches also....polished but stil there...guess need to use sandpaper edi....
yes, i wet sanded with 2000grid then move to compound then polish. Wet sanding is also a very delicate and risky technique to restore any scratch damage. Hence, i suggest you to try and compound the damages a few times before really considering wet sanding.
oi, dream car not s15 ar? lol
must b quite terrible condition that u would touch sand paper 2000 -.-
Yes S15 is my REALISTIC dream car while R8 is a car which I fantasize on, dream to own, but its a big dream for me...S15 is a dream which i am able to archive while R8...long way more my friend
