Hi Guys...
I'm new member here. After reading the forum here, it is great to get some tips and advices about cars. Ok, I have some questions and perhaps you guys can help me giving me some advices about my car. I'm driving 9 years old Wira 1.3 a/b and nothing has been done at all for the past 9 years (i mean modification). Just a stock car.
I feel the car performance has been deterioting, slow and no pick up because of many years. Recently, I went to Powerzone and had a Extractor 4-2-1 replaced the original extractor, without center pipe and muffler changed. On top of that, I also changed to K&N filters and high performance spark plug cables (Germany) which recommended from powerzone's guy based on my budget.
I'm not sure whether this is right modification to my car.
To my surprise, it eventually has a performance up! Not sure how many % increase but it really boost the pick up. Well, I'm not sure it is because from extractor or spark plug or K&N filter?? Now I thought of wanted to look for muffler and really have no idea which type to use.
Those shops, yellow signboard that you can see exhaust specialist everywhere is it good one? Or should I get it from like powerzone, speedwork or others which is more worth to spend? Please advice me. Thanks ya!

it's wiser to get it from the likes of powerzone or speedworks as their products are tested for performance and reliability. sure the price is expensive, but you get what you pay for. nothing comes cheap.

yeah, i agree wid meltan7 only if u have higher budget.
u could use wira 1.6 throttle body as well.

Thanks Meltan7! Then what type of muffler, S-type or straight flow? My car is manual. And
also do I need to change the center piping between the extractor and muffler too?

I wanted to lower it also. Can I put in just a lowered sport spring or whole suspension? As I know the suspension system literally cost to RM 1500 above...Look at the original front bumper also already boring...any recommendation sporty bumper look?

well, if you're not so keen on noise, you could go for an S flow muffler. not much a problem for a manual tranny. to obtain optimum performance, it's better if you change the extractor and piping as well.

suspension wise, it depends on your budget. if it's tight, you could try stock abs with lowered springs. it's cheap while providing the looks and a certain degree of performance. if you've got money to spend, go for adjustables.

for the front look, it's pretty much up to you. there's loads of designs out there. for me, i'd prefer going for a bumper with PU material as it more rigid than those fibre ones.

Thanks for your reply. I have changed it the 4-2-1 extractor, left piping and muffler.

Someone told me if only change the spring, the car will be bumpy and sooner the original absorber will be spoil fast. Is it true?

So far I couldn't find any shop selling bumper for wira. Now most of them are for new cars...
Any recommend?

invest in a set of adjustables, doest costs much nowdays compared to few years back.

If you're looking for bodykits, look for Rock Lee. The fella has a shop in Klang and a zillion bodykits.

Personally I wouldn't go to Pz or SW only because they are expensive. But since you don't seem the type who'd do your own R&D and just buy based on advice, you're better off going to a reputable shop.

If however, you're keen to learn and use "google" a lot to find out more, then you'll find out that there are a lot of cheaper options out there that aren't so premiumly priced that deliver the same level of performance. Like exhausts for example, you can try out Everco, they aren't too expensive and are quite knowledgeable (espcially Kingston).

hi bro,

my recommendation for engine you can go to NAGAMOTORSPORT at klang, the shop seems same like n1 racing, and kakimotor. But its more cheaper act, im using satria 1.3 gli but ive made a little invest to mystock engine eventhough its stock but the power seems like 4g91 or 4g18 . the best thing is the service they give to you is good. alot of performance car like evo, silvia, skyline, rx8 and etc going they..

a modification you can go to first for 4g13 is follow the step by step :-

1. u need to change lighten crank pulley brand arospeed RM350 with installation.
2. maintain your k&n and 4-2-1 extractor if you has changed.
3. add a fuel regulator to make the fuel pressure better and the brand is works RM350 if you have a host if doesnt have costing around rm500

after all of your oil inside the engine is maintain. time to get :-

4. get a high cam/racing cam with adjustable cam pulley brand its up to you but normally you can get jasma packages with spring valve and adj.cam pulley consting around rm1k with installation.

for safety and ride comfort for budget.

1. you get a adjustable hwl, gab or kyb rs pro it will costing around Rm1k-1600 depend on your series.
2. upgraded ur rear brake to wira 1.6 brake and change front brake (evo 3 2 piston) rm500 get at half cut both around rm1200k

remember once a car a fast you need a safety first and the best handling for you

make up!

go for evo 3 body parts. it will look rare in Malaysia if you can make USDM make up people will alwys looking to your car.

after at all my modification ive made my car now is 129.9 bhp after dyno and really satisfy!

just to share my experiences! :itsme:
