from what i c, its because the the filter element is not contained in between wire mesh.. and its abit restrictive thats why it become crumpled.. possibly cap ayam ones..

i think got water stuck between the elements.. then sucking in time, suck the element sekali ler.. haha

I think it gets soft after touching water. Then the air resistance gets higher since there are water blocking in the element. Just an opinion. :)

The car wash ppl balut the filter with plastic bag during engine wash. Then the car was started witout removing the plastic bag.
