Ok, here's a solution......Need to spend abit $$$$....

Get 4G93 block -> Maybe RM1500-2000 (with custom paper)
Get Mivec head -> Also RM1500-2000
Rebore 4G93 block to 2000cc -> RM250
2000cc Pistons -> RM300-400
Get a 2nd hand piggyback -> RM800-900
Install + Tuning Piggyback -> RM250
Engine transplant fees ->1500+-

Total = 7000+- (Is gonna be a dang powerful N/A engine this one!)

And you have a powerful, reliable 2000cc mivec, but JPJ only inspect according to engine number, which is 1800cc. Then dont give a fark about mivec, single cam or dohc.

Engine number correct, it's a 1800cc, and from 1600-1800cc is A-Okay.....

Good luck

I think I will go for GSR 1.8 terbalik. Project A comming up soon. Do you guys think doing port and polish at the initial stage is good? or just drive the standard engine first for couple of miles then do port and polish? If you see the above video clips what is the sound comming from supra? Is it wesgate? air filter ? What a lovely sound comming from the monster.

eloo c-foos,

Thinking of transplanting engines for my waja.
Just need to know which one should be more suitable
Between evo4 or MIVEC 1.8 RS.

2. How much would the half cut costs for both engines.
3. Which is a good workshop for transplanting engines in KL?
4. Any issues to get JPJ endorsement for Evo 4 in Waja?
5. The power for both engines. Which is more beuty in terms of "Fast".

:driver:

Go for Evo for Waja chasis...One of my friends has transplanted a 1.8GSR with what you call 'Tiptronic'.... sad to say the performance is not up to standard or expectation. But nowadays, not sure whether you could transplant an Evo....good luck in your project.

bro, the price is like that, gsr is available to register to any compatible proton car and its still consider new halfcut, that why the price is more than evo4 halfcut. Endorsement is not very hard, but its cannot be register to 2.0, even money cannot buy the endorsement for now.

hmmmm, have everyone thought of 2000cc mivec, possible ? Rebore 4g93 to 2000cc. Honestly I think turbo doesnt mean to be fast in every track, remember turbo got lag. Why not try a customade 2000cc mivec ? I sat inside 1.8 mivec rojak before and its very very fast 0-120kmh....serious fast to experience powerful G's !

my foreman just ordered a CK mivec with auto tranny to put in Waja.
Halfcut is quoted RM7.5K.

hmm i have heard about knocking the engine number on the evo to 4g67
and from what ive heard its quite successful for endorement and also road blocks they say the scanner cannot even tell the difference coz they use the number from japan exactly the same as the original :biggrin:
anyone care to comment on this??im not 2 sure myself:rolleyes:

Hello Sifu's need some advice on whether I should go for a Recaro SPG (MFG 1993) or a Sparco REV (MFG 2018)? Both are around the same price so the price doesn't play such a big role. Reading reviews online many say that the SPG is the better seat but with the age of the seat being a whole 15 years older I'm just wondering if it would be safer to just go with the Sparco instead.

The car would be a daily-ish (driven maybe 3-4 times a week), but I'm willing to sacrifice comfort for a seat...
