i just convert my car with 4g91 doch..

1. so nak tau la. piping berape inchi yang sesuai.. nak piping macam mana.
2. throtle body aku rosak... so alang2 nak tukar.. aku rase nak masuk 1.8 punya..

harap .. semua yang ade idea.. atau ade cadangan lain ke..boleh la bagi suggestion kat aku..bantuan amat la dihargai..
 
Bro, if you going for straight piping, the the diameter should not exceed 1.8 inches. If follow original route, then 2 inches is no prob.

Kalau tukar TB, best you put 93 1.8 TB. Sudah memadai la. response is much better. But also more effective if you change to 1.8 intake manifold.

u can also go for 4G92 Mivec's trottle body along with the exhaust manifold....and if u got extra cash....get urself a Mivec gearbox.....then u'll have LSD too....
 
piping should not be exceed 2.0 inch. i think 1.8 inch is just nice.
TB u can use 1.8 or MIVEC.
 
for NA vise, there is limitation on this engine, and this engine is not consider performance engine, they are design for economy and comfortable engine. better keep all the modification money and go to change a better performance engine. 1.5l no matter how u mod it, is limitation..... unless u mod in turbo.

i agree... save money 4 mivec or turbo if u r looking for performance...
 
wahhh.... want to change engine again ha... ?? hehehe
i just change my engine... dont have money lohhh... for this time.. 4g91 enough. :D

got problem.. sometime when u push the clutch pedal.. engine mati.. why?

anyone got experience?
 
I also face this issue before, few items u need to check :
1. ISC
2. TPS voltage reading
3. any vacuum leaking

I have solved my problem after re-setting on my TPS. And I had sent a mail to RPW regarding this issue, and what they reply is to check on ISC and TPS sensor functionality.

erm.. ISC? TPS? what that thing? can u tell me more.. sori still junior la
 
ISC is the stepper motor which is to control and compensate air input to smoothness on idling speed, increase idling when air con is switch on..etc.
location below throttle body. with brown colour motor, test with ohm meter, u can get 30 ohm for each terminal. if come with black colour head ( like GTI/ Putral using ) u can get 40ohm at each terminal.

TPS is throttle position sensor, locate at infront of throttle body. check with voltmeter on pin 1 and 2, with normal idling speed, u can get it around 550mV to 950mV.
If not sure, better send to workshop for checking.

Need ur expertise, I've upgraded my 4g91 by using 4g93 complete head but still using 91 cam & 91 rocker cover (head cover).. the problem is oil leaking (at spark plug seal & head cover).. is it because of the rubber seal, fyi I'm using original proton top set, or maybe head cover for 91 not compatible with 93 head.. my mech already twice reopen the cover but stil not solve...


any idea ?:cry_smile:
