double coil woofer

i went to an accesories shop and the installer told me not to go for dvc woofers in the long run. the reason is because the two coils will not be even and in the long run the sound may be uneven. is this true?

maybe the installer have alot of those SVC woofer that are stuck dead cannot sell thats why create such story to push his old stock out... wat a joke...
