capacitor should install at where?

Depending on the location of your amps.
Many ppl placed it at the amp rack at the boot or just behind the rear seat back.
Under normal usage, capacitor will not explode, it will just leak at worst.

what function you use the capacitor for? As filter or stiffening the power supply?

If you want to install it on the power supply, you need to put it as close as possible to the amp i.e make the wire from cap. to amp as short as possible. You do not want to increase the ESL which will tax more on the energy provided by your cap.
