Camshafts - what those numbers mean and what they do.

has anyone tried using both b16a intake cams ..i mean intake cam aso for exhaust port.....care to share experience ?
 
can we used both intake cam in exhaust ah??

Look at the profiles.. then look at where it touches the rocker arm...

The answer is.. NO!.. because the secondary and mid lobes would wreak havoc due to their positioning/beginning of their duration.

Not to mention various other reasons why.. :P

Sure.. possibly do-able if can work out the valve clearance thing... but why such a weird setup?

aikkk....i think the b16a intake cam not that agressive type one lar....if we can use JUN 3 exhaust cam with only b16a intake cam....why not b16a intake cam ? sure JUN 3 more lift n duration mah....
 
it's due to the position of the lobes.. and how they begin opening the valves.. hard to explain without pictures.
 
really kah ? nermind then....i'll update results when i got chance to do it...
