BT 20v Can't rev pass 6.2k rpm

Hi there, i am using a seg ae101 bt 20v manual 5 speed with the local 240kmh meter, i just realize last night i cant rev pass 6.2k rpm(cut at 6.2k) and i used to be able to rev pass 7k rpm no problem with the same meter. whats is the problem here?

Local meter no problem,doesnt differ much ,my friend keep all stock SEG 101 dashboard with BT engine can rev to 8k+

does it mean that my meter is faulty? could it be my engine is actually at 7k+ rpm but the meter only showing 6.2k rpm?

I think its d ECU and/or sensor

Go check it out

you need to send it to the mech...

Check for the error codes.
If no codes then its ECU aging problem.
Get specialist to rebuilt it for you

got it checked, no engine code error, ecu is fine, throttle body is fine. my foreman took another same meter and test, it could rev pass 7k. so we came to a conclusion that my meter is faulty.

so most likely engine rev is at 7.5k, meter showing 6.2k. maybe the motor in the meter is faulty, cant read the engine signal properly. the meter is most probably more than 15 years old, its about time lol.

i has experiance using bt with ae92 8k rpm meter..and the ref cut show at 7200rpm..after install 9000rpm ae92 meter..the meter show 7900rpm cut..

anyone knows how much is the labor cost for changing local seg meter to wagon/fx 9k rpm meter?
i heard they need to change some wiring. tq

if u guys dont mind me asking, can we change the meter gauge background color to white and foreground color to black .

something similar to fx-gt meter .
just mod to change the color instead of original black/black combination
