hey bro
depends on who u buy it from, and how old is the car...
used care not necessarily is problematic..or else everyone would be selling halfcuts by now
i got a 14 yr old toyota, and its not giving me any problem yet

i heard form a honda salesman say that the idsi gb "might" be problematic after a few years or serious loads.
a whole new replacement gb is not fun to the wallet

well, since it's a cvt and it is relatively new, would you want to try your luck?

ha ha honda salesman say so kaa? unbelievable..they are trying to sell or what? ha ha..

ok, my personal opinion, the range of 80k u can go for family sedans like..city vtec or vios 1.G5G, both recommended. personally i go for vios masculine look..but vios 7 speed cvt nice to play though.

other choices are intermediate sedans.. hyundai elantra have good level of equipment. may look ugly at first, but it grows on you..what is why can see many on the road these days. chevrolet optra is a good buy, very quiet, got power and bigger and taller than elantra. juz remember that this model is exactly a daewoo from the late nineties. he he

if like big sedan, than can go for optima lorr.. u want bigger, i suggest naza citra 2.0. or can wait new unser innova...maybe around same price. coming april.

if think can live with 2nd hand car, try looking for evo...prices vary but for that kind of money, shud get u an evo4.

p/s new gen2 comes with ABS and twin airbags with special black colour. why dont u buy that and have 20k spare? u can do a lot to that car... maybe installed a 4G63T. he he

May be Hyundai EF Sonata...

Most of my friends are quite happy with it...

as it is chosen as year of car last time. Year 2001 could be around ur budget..

or why don u get a Turbo chargered car.. :P

dunno...it's up to ur choice, the best is to test drive both vios and city...but for me i choose city is becoz quiet, space, not centered meter, performance (vtec), 7 speed mode, futuristic look (try and have a closer look, u can see the sporty shape of city, dun judge the book by the cover)...

dunno about other lah, but had sat in my fren's vios...when on standstill, and u start to accelerate, u can hear the rough sound trying to pull the car go, maybe it's normal, but i dunno, in city u hear nothing, just soooooo smooth...damn fun...had not regret for buying it...and din met any problem yet (touch wood) which is claim by those 2003 or 2004 batch owner, guess it's alll already fixed...

however, it's my experience, but u can try to prove it...dun be a lazy bum, just go to show room for a test drive

and for 80k...if u want new one.. u can get

City
Vios
Accent
Getz
Chev Aveo
Optima
...

good luck on ur hunt :)
