Anticipating another showcase of top class motor racing, Japan GT Association Chairman Kunimitsu Takahashi expects another close battle in Sepang at the Japan GT Championship Malaysia this Sunday (June 25).

"We are going to have another legendary race again this year under the hot and tough temperatures of Malaysia," the former GT driver said in his message in the souvenir programme for the event.

"I can assure you all, that on this coming June 25, we shall, once again, have the chance of enjoying another fantastic race," he said, adding that the Super GT teams and drivers had always look forward for their battle in Sepang.

As the only round outside Japan, Sepang, which will feature Round 4 of the Super GT Series this year, provides a different kind of challenge for the teams and drivers in view of the high temperatures and unexpected weather.

After being shipped from Japan on June 8, the 35 mean machines – 15 in the GT500 class and 20 in the GT300 class – rolled out of their containers into the pits as the teams began preparations for the race, which would be flagged off at 4pm on Sunday.

The drivers and teams would be treated to a welcome dinner on Thursday (June 22) by Equatorial Hotel, which is the official hotel for the 2006 Japan GT Championship Malaysia.

After three rounds, seasoned campaigners Ryo Michigami and Takashi Togure, boosted by their win at Okayama in Round 2, are currently leading the GT500 category with 38 points with the partnership of Juichi Wakisaka and Germany’s Andre Lotterer in second place with 28 points.

The GT300 class is currently led by the partnership of Shogo Mitsuyama and Nobuteru Tanigiguchi; driving a Vemac 320R, with 29 points with Hideshi Matsuda and Ichijo Suga in close second with 28 points.

My car paint is starting to peel off.. Dunno why is that happening but probably cos it's a second hand car... It's a Wira.. Thinking of changing the paint so I was wondering what colour should be put on that car.. I want something sporty and ppl said that Champion white is nice since i did a little bodykit on the car.. What do you guys think of that? And it would be nice to if somebody could recommend me where to get the car painted in area around petaling jaya @ Kelana jaya. Or better yet...
