H22AR on CL1 - drive below 100 kmh or 3000 rpm, full tank of 60L can give you around 700km before fuel light on. Vtec on 10% . But normally very hard to keep it up.

H22A on SV4/CD6 - Donno.

CL1 = manual lah bro.

My CL1, i got around 500km on one tank, with rempit 180 to JB, from USJ, still got around a bit more than half tank, then tarik kaw kaw. before that, have been pusing2 Shah Alam - Bangi - Puchong - Shah Alam - Subang Jaya - Damansara on highway, short shifting, cruising around only.

Sampai JB, the next morning, around 523km, the lampu oren nyala.

auto cannot get lah bro. 15% extra power loss due to the torque converter. power loss = fuel wasted.

CL1 auto la brother. (just repeat what bien said).

FYI,

with my super stock car, last year trip when that time petrol price 1L = RM2.80 kot,
my trip :

Shah Alam <-> Kuantan full tank. Drive slow2 old trunk road, hold the breath for the Vtec...vtec2 open sikit2 jer at Karak Hway....reached back Shah Alam that time , millegae clocked around 600km dah...fuel gaudge still got 1 bar.

Nowadays : Petrol cheap a bit. Different story liao.

Saturday trip to S'pore pergi balik while petrol like below 1 bar left :

1) From S. Alam with below 1 bar left, top-up at Ayer Keroh R&R Melaka = RM80
2) top-up Before enter S'pore , Petronas Stualang before the Police Stn = RM40
3) Balik drive speedly but carefully , light on doh, cause speed cruising with E60-530: top-up R&R Seremban = RM50
4) Reached home still half tank.

total milleage clocked I believe around 800 ++ kms kot.

Go back S'pore day route RM170 petrol. Still fuel saving, isn't?.

The trick is simple. At 5th gear, no need to drive beyond 175kmh or post vtec 5.5k rpm point. Just maintain at 170kmh will do and your fuel will save like 40% at that speed.

Post vtec point?. = Petrol macam air lor.

Aja, if im not mistaken, in 5th, the RPM at 170 is still under 5k rpm. because in 4th can hit the 180 km/h limiter.

160km/h is much moire saving, at the same time, nice cruising speed. Still can follow E60/E90 W211/W204

Lebih kurang lah tu, and as long as the rpm meter is below 5.5k vtec point.

I think PDRM should put the speed limit at hiway at 160kmh(before vtec bukak). :biggrin::biggrin:

Not yet bang. I met him during the weekend, nak gostan a bit susah. He now drive up to 4th gear only. 5th will grind. His car demn chun sial. Carbon hood, buddy club racing spec damper, modulo spoiler.

my awek like his car, eventhough our cars are similar, same kaler. :rofl::rofl:

Bump: Oh, and to boyzone, staying back on topic. The stock CL1 EuroR puts down somewhere around 190~195 whp from its 220PS H22A.

to make a CD with an H22a to produce the same amount of power will cost you more than an arm and a leg. And also depends on what kind of H22a the CD has. either the 190PS or 200PS H22a.

I have an auto H22a in a CB chassis as well.

fuel consumption? Rm80, 300km. mixed driving, VTEC bukak 'occasionally' It wont feel slow, or underpowered. More than enough power.

The CD3 had a measely 120PS from its F18b SOHC non-VTEC. an H22a with 190PS is MORE than enough.

:D

Unless you get bitten by the 200whp bug, then that's a different ball game altogether.

I mustve mistaken then.

Because the H22a in the CD6 has 206Nm only, compared to 218Nm from the Prelude H22a.

the local CD has either 180++ Nm (2.0) or somewhere around 190++ Nm from the F22B. the F22B SOHC VTEC has a bit more torque, around 203 if im not mistaken,. Forgot already.

Malaysian CDs have 'unique' chassis numbers.

JDM is CD3. CD4. CD5. CD6

CD3 = 1.8
CD4 = 2.0
CD5 = 2.2
CD6 = 2.2 SiR

Malaysian equivalents are CD4 and CD5. Although, peliknya, the Malaysian 2.2 SOHC VTEC is a CD6 for the 9697 model.

if you dont find an AUTHENTIC CL1 (hehehehehe), you can always settle for the car that spawned the CL1 EuroR, the CF4 SiR-T.

manual LSD, 200PS F20B. extremely addictive VTEC bark.

Fairy-chwan drives a CF4 with an SiR-T motor. stimmm

Hi All,

May I know what's the best practise for Auto Transmission vehicle during traffic light stop or in the middle of the Jam?

1. Push from "D" to "N" during stop, and Push back from "N" to "D" when the vehicle prepare to move

2. Maintaine at "D" all the time.

3. Mainteine at "L" or "1" all the time.

Some told me that Method 1 will spoiled the gearbox if things done very frequent (due to the shifting). Any technical info mind sharing? Need your input here. Thanks.
