bros,
i'm using evo 3 engine with 2 1/2 " exhaust piping with standard curves (bengkang-bengkok) following the original path of the exhaust piping underneath the body...
i wanted to make it 3" with a straight piping (less back pressure for better performance)...

the question is:
1.can i just go to the exhaust shop and change it to straight one....
OR
2.should i change the petrol tank of a evo...

which one is better...?

About RM450 + - Normally they will sell with Fuel pump (which I will just throw away. :p)
Go search in marketplace, it will give you an idea on the price and what it comes with...

Bro,

The fp will not be the same as Putra's.
The fp that you will get from the fuel tank would be either GSR/ VR4/ Evo 1 -3 etc...
(I'm not sure of Putra fp lph btw)

Also, you mentioned you're using Evo 3 right? How come it doesn't come with Fuel Tank or f.pump? The pump is so important. Don't play a fool with this...

I see you mentioned "maybe you can use? (If same as Putra fp)"
If you're really using Putra Fuel Pump now, I suggest you get a higher lph one,
or your engine will 'blow' pretty soon.... :burnout:

Now most people go for Walbro, and other heavy duty fuel pumps already...

Just my 2 cents.

Hope this helps.... :driver:

when i bought the engine, i only bought the complete engine and front disc+suspension...
i ditches all the bodykits and other parts...
thats why, now i'm regreting....:banghead:
rite now, my oem putra petrol pump can cope up with my setup which is 0.7 bar...
i'm planning to upgrade the pump to walbro...
what i heard is that when use external pump, the fuel level can't be at low level in the tank or else it will not be pumped....is it true..?
