want to get a skyline Gtt r34 or mazda rx8, which better?

skyline r34 gtt 2003 unreg , mazda rx8 unreg

would like to know about the maintainance and car problem,

the fuel consumptions, and some hidden issues.

i heard that rx8 maintainance is very difficute and something must be change for every 10k service which cost rm1000 or more?:stupid:

thanks for advice

You are comparing two cars that are of different needs and wants.. if u want all out power.. got for the GTR, u wouldn't regret.

sorry guys...
i think he meant GTT ....
budget is btw 130-160k .....cant get GTR i guess...

I'm having these 2 cars in my list as well...
RX8 road tax is 1.3cc ...hahha...its a 4 doors..
GTT 34, i guess is a bit more eye catching...2.5L ...sure power more than RX8.

Resell value....i guess rx8 is higher....i guess only lar...
cheers

yahhh...rx8 maintainance is higher..where to get all those pricey rotary parts kann??..
better go for GTT...

i also vote for skyline GTT... bolt on nismo GTR bodykit... can go kao lui adi... weekend can go play drift also (coz GTR cannot)....

Don't go for an 8 ,especially if you are planning to get an AT one cos it will drain your fuel like ^&#^^(*#* and also it's horse power is a disappointment.Anyway im saying it based on my experience cos my mom used to drive one and trust me I even got smoked by a Golf GTi on the highway before.

GTT wins hands down.

that mazda is a fuel guzzler. nevermind whether u want to have any of the two for weekend ride, but that mazda got very bad FC. this is not about the right foot anymore.

it just plainly bad FC for the mazda.

go for the GTT.

ps- or else, Camry and convert it to the Aurion ( is it right? ) in the Ozzie. fantastic.

RX8 as been told by many is fuel guzzling.... You have to ask yourself what you like? Design or power....

HKS speed cut is expensive, remap will be a better solution.

There's a place.. RX8 parts are scarce and demandingly high. If the engine is OK, service and maintenance are just the same as EVO or Subaru..

skip the yearly road tax subject. power-wise, too

i've a fren that said the RX series drinks fuel like a mad camel (no offense, RX users).

the feller owns a R33, btw.

How's mad camel drinking??...10 ltr per sec.??...heheh..jk jk..but from my observation ER34 seems a good buy since it has d powahh, looks, not so high maintenance n its cheaper dan RX..IMO oni....go 4 GTT...then convert 2 GTR!

I own an rx8 6MT, it dosnt drink as bad as the mass ppl think. They probably associate that habbit with rx7, but rx8 is diffrent.

RM60 gets me 200KM. i thought this was bad but it turns out my friends, DC5 and another friends Civic 2.0 auto (latest civic) also does about the same milage. (conclusion: sports cars consumption are in a diffrent category from family/uban cars)

I drive fast whenever I can. Its light and surprisingly very quick, just got to do the rightstuff, remove the cat, use a suitable oil (I use endless semi syn, RM 95 only), lightweight flywheel etc..

talk to ppl whos owned an Rx8 (auto rx8's dont count, they r for posers/wannabees) that way u can sort out the truth from the BS.

My fren drive a R34, and it never go pass 300km a full tank..... Some RX8 owners get 400km, average is 300km per tank
