To what I know there is another model with difference ECU that can add a chip, actually I got that when my stock ECU blew....hhahaha but did not add the chip. That model is 220bhp and there is a RS model at 240bhp. Seems the RS model ECU cannot be used in my base model.......lolhaha.. wasnt it around 210hp? how about the amg tuned? is the spare parts still easy to find?
Brother, you comparing the great, great, great ,great great grandfather VR4 to the Evo 7....sure the power is less loh....hhahahhahahohh i see.. even the RS model only 240bhp. its about the same power output as a downgraded RVR turbo or Airtrek turbo. RVR also has the Hyper sports probably few hp higher..
Yup, some many generations difference....lolrank also greatx4 grandfather....sure a bit weak.
hahah.. im owning this torq monster soon.. so parts hunting like hell man...
Yup, a friend of mine has tested it and it has bad torque steer and a bit floating. That's why maybe not so popular here. Most performance enthusiasts seem to prefer either FD2R, Golf GTI, or Megane RS for FWD cars.hahah.. i could only afford a 2nd handed MPS bro. i still got the boot space + 6 speed manual gb. but i heard it got bad traction issues..
the torque steer thing can be significantly reduce by using solid rear engine mount and better suspension setup(at least a sport spring). and yeah those FD2R or Golf GTI are much popular since people talk about it alot so they are so overrated. These other FWD fighter like megane RS, focus st, mps are much more underrated.Yup, a friend of mine has tested it and it has bad torque steer and a bit floating. Well for FD2R at least it really can produce very fast lap times in Sepang TTA, so not that overrated I think. MPS should be much more comfortable and practical to use than FD2R or Megane RS but not as practical as Golf GTI due to the manual transmissions. Golf GTI though might give more headache for maintenance and repairs/less reliable.the torque steer thing can be significantly reduce by using solid rear engine mount and better suspension setup(at least a sport spring). and yeah those FD2R or Golf GTI are much popular since people talk about it alot so they are so overrated. im not choosing MPS because i think its the fastest car.. i see potential and boot space.. maybe some FMIC and exhaust + ecu tune, i can have alot of fun on track day..
Many models and variants......hahah.. im not comparing.. yeah its different era.. but i notice that vr4 already a 4 wheel steering rite? so damn ahead of time..
Sometimes need to owe something different an less in the market like your Mark X too.....hhahahhahaWell for FD2R at least it really can produce very fast lap times in Sepang TTA, so not that overrated I think. Hahaha true also.Sometimes need to owe something different an less in the market like your Mark X too.....hhahahhaha
Like me, got VR, Sonata III and Chery SUV......lolHahaha true also.
yeah.. youre rite.. i think the correct term for FD2R is "Overpriced"..Well for FD2R at least it really can produce very fast lap times in Sepang TTA, so not that overrated I think. sometimes it feel good to drive something different which is rarely u sees on the road..Sometimes need to owe something different an less in the market like your Mark X too.....hhahahhaha
Over priced, yeah I kinda agree in that. But not as over priced as GT86/BRZ!yeah.. youre rite.. i think the correct term for FD2R is "Overpriced"..
Yup, that's one of my criteria last time when deciding to buy my Mark X. Only 4 options for RWD cars available at that budget with 6 speed & >200HP: Mark X, Lexus IS250, BMW 325i, and Skyline 250. BMW 325i is too common plus I don't trust BMW reliability! Skyline 250 is on the other spectrum, way too rare hence also risky for maintenance and repairs, plus I don't really like the look. IS250 is a bit smaller rear space yet heavier and a bit less powerful, plus I don't need all that luxury. Hence the Mark X was the most suitable, very reliable and still relatively easy to find parts, decent performance, yet not too common on the road.sometimes it feel good to drive something different which is rarely u sees on the road..
But mine all due to cheap price for "lang moon" model.....lolsometimes it feel good to drive something different which is rarely u sees on the road..
