Hi, Im planning to get an Inspira 2.0E. But before that, i would like to know how is the fuel consumption of this car. As you know it is a 2.0l with CVT. I wonder how good is the fuel efficiency.:confused:

any cars with a big CC is no good with FC bro. if you want good FC, go buy a smaller engine car or a hybrid. this car's FC is okay la

But if I remember correctly CVT meant to save fuel? not heavy foot type of driving style
CVT has very smooth gear changes and this allows for very smooth driving style. If you're not heavy footed and keep the revs flowing smoothly with a CVT GB your FC will be pretty decent, but due to the nature of a 2.0 and the weight of this car, you're not going to be doing better FC than a Myvi or Vios. But comparing with other 2.0L cars, the inspira CVT 2.0 has pretty decent FC, like what Ixeo said 11 to 11.5km/L which is not bad at all for a car that big.

I heard that Manual Inspira a real fuel saver better than VIOS Manual...
Unlikely. The weight differences already makes this comparison very impossible and 1.8 vs 1.5 is just too difficult to compete interms of FC. Power wise I wouldn't know but I suspect the Vios J Manual will out accelerate the 1.8 Inspira only because of weight, but the Inspira will most likely outrun the Vios eventually because of capacity.

Hi, just got my inspira 2.0P last week. already clogged 1000km and first service (too eager to surpass 100km/h or 3k rpm haha).

My experience (not exceeding 100km/h), for urban drive i.e city driving with traffic jammed during workdays, average FC i got about 10 -12 L/100km. But driving back hometown using highway give me lowest 7.5L/100km, on average 8L/100km. Not bad for a 2.0L car!

What is the tank capacity actually? Inspira AT uses 4 or 5 gears transmission?

I have managed to get around 14.2km/L half hr journey on Highway at 90km/h for my inspira 2.0 cvt. If u go above 120km/h FC will start to drop so 90-100km/h will yield d best FC.

I own an inpsira 1.8M, and the acceleration is definitely a lot better than vios. In fact it is already proven have better acceleration than inspira 2.0cvt. Mainly because manual transmission has much lesser power loss than auto gearbox / CVT. Tested mine with a FB civic 2.0, accelerate from 110kmh to 195kmh on highway, civic can keep up with me but I am slightly pulling away until 195kmh. Top speed vise civic win. Fc wise CVT 2.0 definitely better than 1.8 manual. Mine 120kmh already hitting 3k rpm, CVT has much wider gear ratio hence keeping the rpm low to save fc.

Bigger cc does not mean worse FC. For the FC to be good, the power must be adequate for the weight. Not too powerful and definitely not underpowered. In most cases, even an over powered vehicle will have better FC than an underpowered one.

Stock Inspira is tuned to be slightly rich to prepare for low Ron (Ron 90-92)
The ecu can be remapped and retuned to give you extra mileage.

And also, the ignition is slightly retard in factory setup. It can be advanced and can enjoy better acceleration and power. Even in stock form.

Done that for a few Inspiras with positive results.

My Inspira 2.0E could get about 500-520km on 1 full tank.
80% city 20% highway
Update 03.02.2014 :
573.5KM on my last tank of fuel. Photo taken right before re-fueling. The re-fueling indicator started blinking at 570KM.

30% city 70 %highway (without being stuck in traffic jams much)

my inspira manage to clock ~350km with RM 70 Ron 95. that give me only 10.5km/L or 9.5L/100km..
it is far from it suppose to be , around 11.5~11.8km/L ( as reported in many website, i took average )
this is daily car use, so it is 40:60 town:highway...

The question is how much did you refuel?

Ok guys.

First a few caveats.

1) These are but my personal opinions.
2) I am not accusing anyone of anything.
3) I too am guilty of being party to the rot.

Done.

HOW the HELL did we get our ASSES kicked AGAIN?!!

Ohmygawd. With all the Genting/Ulu Yam/Sepang/Kuala Klawang/Genting Sempah GoPro heroes, I truly thought we had some hope this round. People has the right equipment, talked and sounded pro but ultimately.......poof.

To be fair, I have not been to the track in ages...
