WTB : 2002 Altezza RS200 5AT unreg

Folks,
Need your advise on the market value of a unregistered Altezza 2002 5AT Model. What is the current selling price in the market?. I am planning to
buy in Jan 08.

yeah...both altezzas on sale looks good (i dono the owners personally though)..
the thing about recon cars is you can always bargain..
especically if there are plenty of altezzas on sale...
so prices are kinda subjective...
but i reckon if the car is more than 5 years (i.e.2002 bought in 2008) then there will be higher chances of negotiating the price..maybe 120+k
coz 2003 models will be coming in that year..

p/s when scouting, do check the chassis number whether its really 2002,2003,2004 or whatever..
these salesman sometimes just say anything..
check the production number from the Net..

I am looking for Unregistered 2002 model. Price wise I am going to neg down to RM 115K in Jan08. If any of you seen any 2002 model in recon shop pls let me know. Pls also advise anything to look out for during test drive.

the easiest was for u to check the year of production of the japanese cara are by checking the tag in the seat belt. this tag is normally located on the floor (i.e. near the hook to the floor) and it will state what year the seatbelt/car is produced.

what i found out that most of the importers cut off this tag

it happened to a friend of mine who was in the midst of buying a recond altezza and he was told by the importer that the car is 02 production. but when i asked him to check the tag in the seatbelt, turned out to be that the car is 98 production.

as far as im concerned, importers are full of bullshit crap ...

Tks for all your reply. All altezza model comes with LSD rite?.
I was informed that only some come with LSD and normally can tell by the chasis code. Hmmmm not convinced.

Anyway I called up Meng Heng and all I can say is

2002 model price 130K plus on the road cost of 7K brings the total price
to 137K on the road. Do they think i am an idiot

Found a unit which is very suspicious.
The chassis code is 99 model and the seat belt tag is missing
but doc from japan says 2002 model. Hmmmm.

AE111, did u go to Ming Heng as if in Setapak? yeah, the year 2002 car damn nice but the price is way too high for 6 y.o car...the interest they offering also is high compared to other places i surveyed :(. but that blue car is really nice. I love it but if they can neg down below RM120k, i may reconsider about it..

Saw that unit. It is a true 2002 model. The price is very high.
Very nice car. The car been there since April 07. You wonder why......
There is also 2004 model in Sentimas recon shop. Condition beautiful.... still got the new car smell inside.

I saw both Altezza today in two diff location around jalan gombak. Blue tezza 02 and black tezza 04. Both are at high price.
