Im not a hardcore performance guy, just need some power and prefer 6 piston engines, once in a while tarik, and able to take serious beatings sometimes. I need some advice which should i go for. A cefiro a31 RB25DET/1JZ or a Perdana v6 TT or can you guys recommend any better lower than 2.5cc 6 piston turbo/supercharged/4 sitter car which is below RM30K. Im really scratching my head hard cause i dont really know which to go for... lets say both cars are in good condition, which would be more reliable? more spare parts, better handling, etc. I was quite keen on getting a a31 with a 1jz engine, but alot of people are giving me alot of different opinions regarding my decision. Need some advice a.s.a.p, thank you :)

both are good car, with huge amount of parts for mods. Comes easily and rather affordable.
Quality wise of make, I go for the ceffy. For relative easy of sourcing parts, I vote for Perdana.

Well to be honest i previously owned a perdana v6 until it got stolen so i have alot of some sort of gay love with the car, and at the same time i wanna go for the cefiro a31 well to probably learn how to drift and stuff like that :)

If i were to go for the cefiro a31,
What kind of axle, gearbox, engine, turbo, would give me around 300-400hp and is it possible to use it as a daily car with an ok mileage, i mean not good us a hybrid, but if im able to get around 400km for a full tank its ok enough for me.
And is there any rare items for the cefiro that tends to spoil and its expensive to fix? Like the NA perdana v6 main problem was the auto gearbox and to get a manual replacement cause a bomb because it was quite rare.

Well, one is RWD and one is FWD unless you are going 4WD for the Perdana?

Both cars can be had for less than RM30k, but you'll have to fork out a few thousands a year on average to maintain any of those cars since they're more than 10 years old already.

Dont plan to go for a 4WD cause i dont think JPJ will allow this, I use to take high speed corners with the perdana as im more confident that its a FWD, I wonder how the RWD will react on this? I have no experience driving a RWD, kinda scared the whole car might skid

ermmm.. for the part of "some sort of gay love with the car".. i think you're the one who attract the gay kot. my car do attract chicks.

so far.. the one that you need to watch out is valve seals.. lower arm.. and g/b.. a well maintained g/b can last up to 4 - 5 years (more than acceptable for me)..

do take note.. an a31 is 1988–1994 market car.. compared to perdana 1996-1999(sei) 2000-2008(v6).. both is outdated.. but depends on your taste.. no offend

the 25% cc upgrade is one rule.
but the changes in mounting points is another.
a perdana engine configuration = engine left-side, gearbox right-side.
a 6A13 engine is 'terbalik' = engine right-side, gearbox left-side.
so, it requires all 4 mounting points to be changed/modded.
well, two actually. the left and right side mountings.
for front and back, can use back the subframe and centre-member of the donor car (8th gen galant or usually known as VRG)

it can be done, i've heard a guy managed to pass inspection and endorse the engine.
but the modifications were done by Proton.
(got several Perdana that i know transplanted with 6A13TT, even 6G72TT. but not endorsed of course..)

well, since i'm a Perdana owner, i vote for Perdana! hehe..

if u wanna go for raw power, go for Perdana with 4G63T engine from Evo3 (factory 270hp). lotsa performance parts..
if u want a smooth and linear power delivery, with good exhaust tunes and nice high speed drive, go for Perdana with 6A12TT engine from Galant/Eterna/Emeraude (factory 215-240hp). but performance parts quite limited.

No bro, i never said the perdana v6 attract gays, i said I am having gay feelings towards the perdana v6.
I had one,my dad bought brand new at 1999, it served my family well for 13 years. I also spend around 25k+ on modifications. So i was wondering, should i stick with another same old perdana v6 or should i try something different. I saw a good deal for a 2ndhand perdana v6 tt and it made me want to get one again.

Than again, a standard 1JZ-GTE engine from toyota supra has alot of power as well, since its an inline 6, high torque at low RPM
280 metric horsepower (210 kW) at 6200 rpm, 379 newton metres (280 lbf·ft) at 2400 rpm
And some say, the stock internals can hold up 300-400hp, the engine is practically bulletproof.
So, really hard to make a choice here lol.. perdana has VIP looks, newer, has ABS, chicks factor, but quite common on the road. Cefiro a31, looks good for me as well but not for many chicks, no abs i think, old car, might have rusting problems if not taken care of, but its a legend, heavier and a harder chasis , i can gain new experience by learning how to drive RWD and also drifting, and its rare
