ok2..u can try to use ezwong2002 method which is by tapping wire to the fuse...

but what i did was to tap ignition wire(+) to the ciggie lighter(+) wire...in my case the (+) wire on the ciggie lighter is blue...((-)ground wire is black)

of coz if u look down the steering wheel, i also get confused, which is which...sort of like maggie mee...heheh :P
that's why its easier to just tap the wire at the output equipment, hope this help

hold up , now im getting more confuse , do i really need to tap the ignition wire or i can tap any 12v source ?. but the way i see it , i only need 1 wire from the ignition to the meter . if i can tap any 12v source wouldn't it be like 2 wires ( + ) & ( - ) ?.

now i betul betul pening , you tap at the ignition wire or the ciggie lighter wire ?. sorry la , if i ask too many question , i don't really understand . if boost meter all easy la as i only need 12v source .

u see here...
there r 4 terminals and 2 wires(for LAMP, red&black) on the back of the meter....

here's what i did..
1. (+) wire for LAMP tap to any(+) wire for lamp output(in my case i tap to ashtray light)
2. (-) wire for LAMP tap to any(-) wire for lamp output(in my case i tap to ashtray light)
3. (+) or IGNITION terminal, tap to (+) wire of ciggie lighter
4. (-) terminal, tap to black wire of ciggie lighter
5. S, this one just wire up to sensor
6. ground wire on meter holder, just tap to the same black wire of ciggie lighter

hope this help... B)

as long as the reading not over 120c, it's safe, if ever exceed that level, stop ur car

103 degrees celcius

i think the maximum operating temperature of the fluid for the engine cooling system in all motorcars is 103 degrees celsius, this is because when water has been mixed with 50% coolant by volume in addition to being under pressure, the cooling fluid will rise up to a temperature of 103 degrees celsius before the pressure release on the radiator cap opens.

if the temperature reading rises above 103 degrees celsius, it may indicate that the cooling system has been contaminated by other fluids which are able to reach higher temperatures before turning into a gaseous state. oil is an example of such a fluid. allowing the engine coolant to be at this high temperature to be circulating around the engine will cause the electric fan to work more often resulting in reduce life-span of the electric motor and more frequent 'drag' (increased amount of work) for the charging system.

this is just what i understand from the liquid state and gaseous state of water (steam). pure water boils at 100 degrees celsius and just beyond 100 degrees celsius it turns into steam. mixing with 'engine coolant' will raise the boiling point of water a little and having water under pressure such as the closed system in the radiator will also raise the boiling point of water by a little.

i will check this information again and update this if i am mistaken.

I just installed the temp gauge, i tap the + wire from the cigerete fuse box there, ground it to the battery negative terminal, light not yet connect, wired up the sensor using back my previous sensor,im driving nissan terrano, why when i turn on the key,it shoot up to 120? then i turn the key to light up the meter,it goes back to a respectively temperature, then when i start the car, it slowy increas,as the reading is increasing until 100 degree, so got any problem? as i dont know my car spec as well...thanks!

Random Post Every 5 Minutes

Hey there everyone , i got a myvi that i have installed big brake kit taken from Honda FD2 , everythings was working fine .

Now that i need to replace my worn out rotor , i wondered if there is any rotor that would plugnplay into myvi with honda FD2 brake which the lug pattern is 4x100 ... ori honda rotor is 5x114.3 which would require redrilled to fit into myvi hub .

Many thanks for any input :)
