Nissan’s upcoming GT-R super-coupe is one of the most hotly awaited cars of the decade so it’s no surprise there’s already an extensive waiting list for it. Unfortunately, in situations like this unscrupulous buyers who get their hands on the car early on often sell them to those fans willing to pay a small premium on the retail price to make a profit.

This is a practice Nissan would like to avoid with its new GT-R so it’s actually considering limiting the car’s warranty to the first owner for a period of one year. This means that if anyone buys the car second hand before the one year deadline, the car’s warranty will be voided. “That’s the route we’re looking at,” Nissan’s PR director Scott Vazin told Edmunds.

The new GT-R will be making its official debut at October’s Tokyo Motor Show before making its US debut at the LA Show. The car should go on sale early next year (2008) and is tipped to be priced around the USD70,000 mark.

why dont nissan themselves sell higher price, knowing all would be sold out anyways seeing that they only have the Z06 as their only competitor in that price range.

What an idiotic idea, as if they're comparing it to Ferrari and yet Ferrari didn't set such a limit......

if the waiting list is soooo long, then I guess one can own a plastic model from tamiya faster than owning the real car....:hmmmm:

bro, Ferrari is from a totally different market lah......although there have been cases like these happening to Ferrari, but most of the owners are too rich to bother
Bro, I don't get your word. 'Too rich to bother'??  hahaha

Often people say the word 'a totally different market', they didn't know what they are saying..... Ferrari and GTR are cars. When salesman sell a car it's call a Sales. Only different is the price. But normally when they order something, they're expecting it fast to be delivered, no matter what price it is. Can a char kuey teow hawker say 'you'll receive your meal tomolo, becos you paid RM3 only'? Rich guys don't do nothing and sit around n wait, this ain't way for rich guys to achieve their successes. So you see people jump queue by paying person in front, even Enzo and SLR owners did, yet no such a limit set for supercar. It happens to impatient Satria owner or Singapore supercondo's owner. Am i right??

but when prices for new models sell for over the MSRP, the surplus itself is already easily the price of the new GTR, in the states that is, dosent that matter ?

Good morning everyone, hope everyone is doing well in this pandemic and abiding SOP at all times.
Came across an aftermarket brake kit brand in Mudah and was wondering if anyone can vouch for this brand? The price also seems reasonable in my book considering what is being offered in the ad, but who knows I might be wrong.
Here is the link to the ad: Iswara Saga 1.3 1.5 RSS...
