By KL Auto Salon: KL AUTO SALON™ was initiated in August 2005 with first meetings held casually at the Coffee Bean in KL Plaza and was attended by a group of car crazy enthusiasts.

So many things were discussed on the proposed KL AUTO SALON™ and an exchange of ideas to be Malaysia's number one automotive lifestyle event. Although the event did not take off sooner, efforts to make it happen continues as desires to succeed remained and understanding about the custom car culture was getting better and better. As our preparation went on, we have seen other similar events being organized, notably one in November 2006 follows by another just a few months ago in April.

Finally, time has come and KL AUTO SALON™ is ready after two-year of hard work to be known as Malaysia's number one HOTTEST AUTOMOTIVE LIFESTYLE SHOW™.

KL AUTO SALON™ will be officially launched in a special “Launch Party” on 11 & 12 August 2007 (Saturday & Sunday) at the Mines Auto City open air car park (opposite Mines Shopping Fair). The Launch Party is open to all from 4pm-12 midnight.

During the launch party, interested individuals or clubs are invited to bring their cars for registration in the upcoming KL AUTO SALON™ Auto Styling Competition which will be held at a date to be announced soon. With this advance registration, the organizer will be able to segregate participating cars in their respective categories such as Domestic, Compact/ Sports Car, SUV/MPV, Hatchback/Coupe etc. The number of competition categories will be determined after advance registration closed on Sunday 12 August 2007 at 10pm.

Two qualifying rounds are expected to be held before the semifinals and follows by grand final, all at different dates. With this format, those qualified for semifinals will be able to enhance their car to their perfection and further on, those who heading to grand finals will be competing for various award categories with cool prizes & trophies and without doubt, all competitors will be aiming for the glorious Grand Prize comprising cash, air tickets, hotel accommodation and as a recognition, the winning car will be participating & displayed at the prestigious 2008 TOKYO AUTO SALON.

That’s not all, as the competition heads to the grand finals, we promise more surprises to come!

We welcome all cars, all years, in all forms of show condition where you can show off your passion and creativity into transforming your awesome “baby”.

1. ONEtoONE: We welcome enquiries on booth space. We have a limited number of exhibition space for rent and more details about this in the next few days.
2.AXXell & lexuskoh: Participation fee is RM125 per car
3.esthapo: The launch party will be held on 11 August 2007. Two qualifying rounds will be held on 1-2 September & 8-9 September 2007.

It would be good if you could bring your car as we are going to have a full display of all competition cars. However, if your car is in workshop, you can still come and register as competitor and enjoy the party. :wavey:

It’s going to be real judges from the industry. They are selected based on their experience and astute knowledge especially on cars modifications. From semifinal to final, an invited international judge from established car modification competition will be sharing his expertise with local judges. Apart from pro judges, we will be having a PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD categories where visitors vote their best car for the show.

Contrary to my previous post, the actual date for KL AUTO SALON Launch Party & Preview is on Saturday 18 August 2007 from 4.00pm to midnight. We are currently updating our website and you should be able to download all the information you required such as Competition Classes, Competitors Form,Regulations, Exhibition Space Form, Floor plan & etc within 48 hours.

Sorry for late reply. Yes, to enter the launch party visitors need to be a member of KL Auto Salon with annual fee of RM15. As a member you're entitle for discounts on future show as well as other aftermarket outlet that will be announced and updated from time to time. Feel free to visit KL AUTOSALON.

is it juz pay for membership fee and join da event??? or still need to buy admission ticket??? if reali, how much per ticket??? sorry for asking quiet many question...coz i'm from others automotive forum as well...so i need get some detail to inform my other fellows forum members....
