RB26dett is 2.6L engine...
2JZ is 3.0L engine...

displacement matters...
 
just finish watching , nice vid there , lots of explanation on the details but the on board footage during shifts is just awesome

since it's drag, does the weight of the engine matter? or is it a technical project where they try to do something others have not? i can and you can't?
 
stroking it would push it to 2.7liters maybe touching 2.8 liters.

but the power produced by both engines are almost similar, i've seen clips that both the supra 3.0l and the RB26 block touching 1200hp.

so does the extra 300cc really matter in perofrmance terms? i think its a technical excercise to prove that their R&D can do it, thats all.
 
mayb the 2JZ engine has even higher displacement stroker kit... haha... jz a guess.... :P
