Some purist says, R33 is the best in term of power and ride & handling outshine its other sibling. I read in few mags confirming the R33 as the best Skyline with RB engine ever. R32 was perhaps the one that changed the perception of Japanese Sport car through out the world, R33 polished and enhanced it to next level. R34 was said to be too heavy, too tech savvy and being call Play Station Generation's car.

In Malaysia, R33 is very2 less respected and 'ashamed' compared with R32 or R34 due to the similarity in its design with Perdana wannabe Skyliner.

R31 is almost unheard before as it was marketed for Japanese market only. I've been told R31 is a respected beast till today in Japan as it conquered Japan domestic races and underground races during its heyday.

Is there any KPGC 10- The Godfather of Skyline here? Never heard before la. I think nobody dares to import it due to high price. I saw one good sample was at 5mill yen before compared with 1mill plus for R33 and R34.

My personal thoughts…

As much as I would love to claim the r33 as the ‘best’ skyline, I’m afraid it’s never been hail to be as good as its predecessor. But for some reason the Australians love them, and they was huge in drag scene.

The R33 (Gtst) has been positively praised for the introduction of the more powerful RB25DET however due to its longer wheel base the 33’s are a bit soft (gentleman’s car) but boasted a more comfy ride on the highways aka wangan.

Weight of was also commonly criticized, as the 33 was often compared to the lighter 32. Although the 34 was heavier, it packed more power and safety features (and got away with it)

Owning a 33 is about preference of the owner. For me I’ve always like the 33’s shape, since I was born in the 70’s and could drive during the rise of the 33 in the 90’s :-)

So I guess it’s a matter of preference. Some call the 33 soft (look and handling) but a well build car would easily kick ass.

BTW a modded 33 kick a 35’s ass in one of the mod mags not too long ago (Don’t flame me I love the 35 but its good to know the old girl still have some spark)

Actually not only in Malaysia, most place around the world people still prefer R32 and R34 in compare to R33. Why, well R32 is legend plus it weight and R34 is technologies. But R33 well nothing special if u compare it to R32. Cause it own it before and i did an operation on it before too. Wakekke,,, Just hobby.

No offense but this is a really stupid topic, let alone question. One man's meat is another mans poison. The is no such thing as a 'best skyline'...
Same goes with tuning routes, twin turbo's or single's, car setup..etc,etc. It's all individual preferences and different people have different needs and expectations.

It's like comparing your mother and your best friends mother. Who has the best mother?
Can you both answer that question? :stupid:
