1st black neo is good choice for not changing the air intake to open pod like the silver neo..

i noticed about proton cars, starting from waja, the air intake pipe is designed to be CAI. (ie.. u get CAI from stock condition!) u can see the piping flows direct from front grill. so i dont know y some neo owner still put the stupid hole at bumper.. and add the aluminium intake piping lagi.. or even chg to open pod.. suck all hot air inside.. wahaha :P

if look clearly the CAI aint from de front grill is on top over it... once the bonnet is down it aint as efficient as the real CAI...

don flame me k... just my 2cents of view.....

mostly those who install cai to their bumper is to make it more effiecient
n look cool.if install with a open pod filter,it will suck more air into the engine.

evo4g63, the CAI is at front grill, whether top or not, it is good enuff edi.. after bonet down, the cold air will still come in thru the hole between grill and bonet.. this location is good in terms of wind pressure at high speed. if u compare to the CAI hole at bumper sides, this location is much better in 3 terms: 1. higher air pressure at high speed, 2. less dust will go in (compare to hole at bumper which is nearer to ground, therefore more dust). 3. more safe during floods ( esp if u live in Johor :P)

GT_AUTO, install an open pod as in the silver neo above is really hurting the performance... 1. there are no heat shield to block heat from extractor. 2. piping is too short, which makes it nearer to center of engine area.. this will suck more air, yes... but mostly HOT AIR.. so become less power if u make piping longer, and putting a heat hield to separate extractor area and intake area.

its just pity that most modders nowadays have a trend to dump everything they can afford into their car without knowing the technicalities and effects of those mods.. for example, i've seen a waja put a lot of bars (front 3 point strut, lower arm, fender, anti-roll), but rear side not installed anything.. this will make the car unbalanced in steering.

but then, its ur car.. ur choice.. kekekeke...
