nope... changed 93 block, pnp, crank shaft balancing... just common work to make it healthy...

Art, you use 93 block and also rebore using bigger piston right? but is that high comp after market piston or from other engine one? I use back 81mm mivec hi comp piston...

Not intend to invest more liao, saving for dream car now...:rofl:

Exactly bro i get your point. Turbo is never an option for me because i have to look at fuel consumption also. But so far a standard mivec will do. A healthy standard engine would be enough tho:rolleyes: I dont mind the low end torque. I think its a contemplation when thinking of an engine.
Nice man, you've got your way figured out... i'm still wondering what path to take now haha... another option for you, if you not really into your current car then you may try sell it and get a modified 2nd hand car which is far*100 more cheaper than mod it yourself... but if you like your car so much then no choice : ), i din sell my car cos this is my family first new car, and got nice memory with it...

it's flat/concaved right? i thought it will create lower compression?? planning for turbocharge?? LOL

I am confused with this spec frm mivec. Has no clock and aircond as the dash comes with std analogue aircond. Based from what i read its rally spec. How much is this engine in halfcut. What are the problems that we face having this engine transplanted.

Mivec halfcut now is almost as same as gsr price depend on certain halfcut shop, some of them more expensive than gsr. RS car is a road legal performance car. Its come with no digital aircond, no radio, no INT speed at wiper lever, no electronic side mirror, no rear wiper suiz, no power window for door. Always come with plain white color body with no antirust for the body. If rs halfcut just look at those thing.
Its better for u to look for normal mivec halfcut, easy to maintain, easy to install because normal one have complete wiring, don't have hassle, (exp with power window wiring, or if u want to upgrade to flip side mirror, if rs don't have those thing, need to rewiring to do it)

no problem at all, n my block is SOHC. i hv use 2 layer radiotor wif pajero turbo oil cooler oso.

mivec muz use premium unleaded fuel oni. in japan, they use RON 98 above. i better spend more money on fuel rather den my piston melt.

hoho... i use two layer radiator + oil cooler too... but the mech said i worried too much...
I won't try 95, will go straight for v power sincer not muvh diff from 97...

u try mantain chasing a gsr from North-South highway begin from tebrau . in half way gsr ll let u pass. coz they suffer from oil boilling. b4 i install oil cooler, i feel power loss if continue high rev for 10 min.
zac.. tis oct i jobless. gt alot free time. find a day come out TT. ur rev cut done d??

Well i drive a 4g92p wira aeroback, will be passing it to my brother and i might be opting for a satria with a mivec maybe. Might take some time searching for one. But i prefer a 1.6 chasis for further upgrades as i'l be keeping and loving tht car :love:
But well need to look at the price and all. But if i have cash to maintain a turbo car and i am working a 4g63 is the way to go...hehe!

i didn't do rev cut yet since cam still stock, it won't gain much though... Just did my clutch, let wallet rest a while first...
haha, the oil cooler is nice but sometime my temp get too low during rainy day, my oil cooler is without thermostat one...

my oil cooler oso no thermostat, wen drive in midnite nd more time to warm up engine. but sure cold is better den overheat. i ask ori jun camshaft wif valve spring, hmmm ....rm4900. now ask ppl find australia RPW replica jun cam. is billet, not regrind cam, aus $1200. wish below rm3500 in malaysia.

Art: sigh... i had stopped modifying at the moment, thinking to save for next car... sometime very heartache pumping a lot of money but the result still not that ok (tweak here tweak there still feel like imbalance), the potential of car and engine is really important...

Fadin: if you think abt 63 then dun waste time and money to get mivec, its a double job and will demoralize you... buy it only when you devoted into it...

zac, wat ur nx car? actually i gt think hv a VOLVO S40 2000 model. chasis same like lancer CK model. so can convert to EVO CP9A.

Bro Art, seriously i tried s40 before, the chasis ain't that superb as volvo custom, furthermore the part expensive like hell and this is volvo custom :rofl:, the most unbearable thing is federal auto as a dealer can't fix it!! Changed to s60 which i personally think it's really a nice car, solid chasis, sound proofed and nice design... Both fitted 2.0t and engine bay looked alike but does s60 has any link with mitsubishi?

I plan to buy a supra, still love it althought it's old, but no budget for car yet, all in business liao... The funny part is i chat with my dad that i will buy supra, and he just shocked, scoffed and asked HOW OLD LIAO, STILL WANNA DRIVE THIS KIND OF CAR... lol...

s60 no relate to mitsubishi. oni years 2000 s40 hv mitsubishi lancer DNA. mounting point same like lancer, tat mean i can direct put evo 4,5,6. rear suspension oso look alike.supra hard to get loan.

yah, v40 wif huge rim n bodykit plus evo heart, muz oni 1 in malaysia.but wallet quite siong...nd to wait til car price fully drop more.

continental car price dropped till certain level will get stucked, unless its totally outdated... now v40 like around 40-50+ right? deoends on yr and condition lah... add a bit more budget can get supra liao... haha

S40 compartment quite congested leh, even wira is broader... but thicker means better protection and better soundproof loh...
