The R-SPEC MIVEC controller from Data Systems in Japan is an after-market device (ie not fitted as standard) that has three memories to allow the user to alter the RPM at which the engine switches from its low cam to high cam settings. Two of these settings are user controlled - the third is the factory "Normal" setting. By changing the switching points, you can alter the driving characteristics of the MIVEC engine. It can give the feeling of a more natural rise of the MIVEC engine power. The controller can also give an audible RPM limit warning and delimit the top speed of the car. It also has a Stopwatch facility, a clock and an time alarm.
A worthwile addition to any MIVEC car !!
