Hi..

I'm using 4G93 engine N/A into my Proton Wira.. (Using around 2 years)
the problem is when i drive sometimes suddenly the RPM down to zero & engine die..

all (TB, ECU & etc) / everything i change included the Full Wiring but it's still happen..also my RSM & SAFC i temporary terminated but also same..
1 more thing, if engine die i must open the hood . let it cold 1st if not i can't start the engine..

seriously i need help from u all to give me the Tips or what ever to settle my car problem..

Thanks..

bro,
i think ur thermostat have problem. please try to check it. i just my 2 cent knowledge

thanks bro, but i check already..

when i change to new wiring (swap with my friend) it can stand for 2/3 day but after that it happen again..

could be your ecu?
You mention that already change tb,does it include stepper motor also?

I believe we're facing the same issue.. I've sent my car for computer check.. and the mech said the power TR unit got problem.. but the problem is still there even after I change the power unit..

thanks guys,

nuno : TB c/w stepper motor i already change..complete unit,
Ecu? done it but the same problem come after 2/3 day..my mechnic said he tried use Haltech & it ok..( to expensive haltech) hu3x

evo prince :please sharing the info if u settle the problem soon

Did you get any error codes from the ECU?
But thinking of which, if plug in Haltech then become ok mean, your ori ECU has problem.
The one that you swaped in (same prob again 2/3 days later), also has problem.

suspect air flow sensor too...

try swapping with your frens one 1st.....

hey guys,

can satria gti mmc ecu pair with the MAF code 449?

if not mistaken the stock MAF for satria gti mmc is 455, am I right?

Some said use 449 also no problem woo...

can advise ka?

TQ

sound like a wiring problem to me la bro, when you swap to haltech did you change the wiring or it's piggyback unit?

u can try this. check the contact of socket near your TR power unit. there's one triangle socket (3-pins). this is normal problem in 4G93. i just simply direct the wire (don't use the socket anymore).

...maybe something related to ignition problem..or
..socket not properly fitted or loose ie ignitor or MAF socket...
or engine encounter excessive knocking or overheat and the ECU shutdown the engine

did ur car die while driving in excess hot condition...?

if it yes...my car also have that problem the RPM is going to be crazy then suddenly engine die..need to wait several seconds then restart, it works but it going to be " semput" and seldom black smoke is coming out from exhaust all the way.

I've change the MAF sensor 449 then the problem solved...

If haltech can solve the problem, you surely need to change the ECU. No point troubleshooting anymore. Original ECU costs less than RM500. Trouble shooting consumes your time a lot more than that. You can send it to proton, ECU tuning only cost RM55 there.

I had exactly same problem. What I did was:
1. Fuel pressure test to confirm pump, injectors, fuel filter and hoses are in good shape.
2. Compression test to check for cracks etc.
3. Timing check to check if distributor, spark plug cables etc are ok.
4. Battery voltage check when cranking.
5. Coolant temp sensor, TPS, Oxy sensor and other sensors.
6. TB servicing.
7. Wiring check from sensor to relay to ECU.
I wasted a lot of time to DIY check and spent a lot more on equipment. When the first false error message displays, it's the sign that the ECU ist kaputt. Kapish?
