LMST clutch problems

Hi guys...

My gear shifting is a bit hard especially from 1st to 2nd. And then to reverse.

I am quite busy, to change the clutch. Is driving like bad for my gear box???

How much do you think for the clutch?

Also, when i drive above 80kmph, i get some kinda gas smell inside the car? Whats the problem?

sometimes water seeps into your gbox....so try flushing your gbox fluid 1st.
if problem still persists then i think its time to change clutch...
if clutch problem
1. car judder at 1st gear
2. got some burning smell
3. when u running at 100kmh, rpm should be at 3k rite? but your running at higher rpm. say at 4rpm.
4. difficult to engage gear.

But this does not. Also when i go around 120kmh, the clutch vibrates.

Yup, same symthoms as me....my clutch wearing off soon...
i bought exedy new clutch set, clutch plate + bearing + cover rm180++ cant remember, almost rm200....then installation bout rm100, i paid rm300 for stuff + workmanship.
but better u buy your clutch yourself at spare parts shop. then u just pay for workmanship,
my car is satria 1.3

i also have same problem..thinking to change gear oil first..

your clutch pad worn out already, therefore hard to engage gear one. vibrates etc.
u can change only the plate which is cheaper but i would advice to change the whole set as sometimes the seals might leak.
the whole set cost bout rm200 plus. inclusive clutch plate, pressure plate & bearing plus seals.

Also, is exedy good enough?
