just to share my method; i use 10ml of 3M fuel system cleaner for each cylinder by pouring it through the spark plug hole leave it for like 5 mins, then use another 20ml and let it suck through the fuel regulator's vacuum hose, balance i just pour into fuel tank and then start engine.

to me, any of those carb cleaner or injector cleaner or fuel system cleaner will work ler. doesnt have to be exactly those decarb product. all of them has the same objective, to remove any sludge or carbon or dirt. its like some sort of detergent ler...i tried using 3M, STP and also Redex b4, all also got heavy smoke coming out from exhaust. and it kinda cleans ler, coz after doing it my engine revs very light. i do it like every 5,000km when i service my car. 1st few times i do very heavy smoke ler, then after a couple of times and doing it regularly, the smoke not as heavy as the 1st few times edi. maybe not as dirty as the 1st few times????

pour from spark plug hole...mean remove each spark plug n pour in 10ml for all the spark plugs izzit?

then will it hard to start after pour in? hv to accelerate rite?

Some ppl just feed the cleaner thru the vacuum hose that go in manifold with the engine idling, then later 'tekan minyak'

any brand can do. but better chose branded one like STP/3M.
tried unbranded brand before, but the effect disolving the gum/oil stain is not quite good as branded ones.

huakenny, definitely need to remove the spark plugs 1st lor...sorry my bad for not mentioning that :P and yeah...slightly abit hard to start ler...do a few cranks and rev abit then no problem edi.

last time i went to workshop ask 4 tuning, but tht mech told me bttr clean mainford n injector wif some chamical b4 tuning, it cos RM160-mainford, RM140-injector, price including tuning after cleaning job.

is tht price ok??

lolz.....my mech help me clean intake manifold FOC whenever i service my ride there...i wil my own engine oil some more...

injector how they clean? if take out n clean it with machine then is ok i guess....

Hi, can i ask sumthing the STP carb cleaner that u use is it those spray type with blue color can and red color cap? or the STP carb & injector cleaner in botol with white color botol? I would like to try urs matter lerr.... so mind to share ah?? Thanks

I am new comer.

I am very interested in Carbon cleaner.

Before that i brought STP fuel injector cleaner to clean the fuel injector.
I pour it in fuel tank ( Half Tank Fuel VS 1 bottle STP ),after pour it, i feel my pick up has improve slightly.

But if i need to clean carbon inside,what brand will your recommend? Is that STP? Pour it into Spark plug hole?

hey mengz, how much and where u bought the 3M feul injector cleaner? i saw it at eneous almost rm30 woh.... izzit the white botol with the black color cap one?? i just bought the STP carb and feul injector cleaner will try it later....

How did ur mechanic cleaned the intake manifold? Did he removed the the whole intake manifold out?

my mec take out injector and clean with michine.then tukar the oil seal also....

I go through other forum, there is so decarbonizing product look so nice and effect. That is solvent base. It go through manifold and clean the piston and head.

They is so many person buy it,feedback it good and effective also .

I wiil buy it and try it. No Harm! ( Feedback all good )

To clean the carbon by pouring the liquid through the spark plug hole is the correct
way, I use to clean my engine at a workshop at Tmn Sea where they will let you see though the spack plug hole inside where you can see the black carbon forming, later they will pour the carbon cleaner liquid (water base, please don't ever use oil base as they will form sludge inside), then they will suck the liquid back and you will see the clear water color liquid turn in kopi O color.
After that my car feel very light.
